About Learn the Lifts: Group Training Sessions

We don’t believe in rushing the weight. Every member starts by mastering the mechanics—hook grip, overhead stability, and hip contact—using PVC pipes or empty bars. You won’t jump to heavy plates until your form is solid. This is how we build the explosive power you need for a proper snatch and clean and jerk, ensuring you stay injury-free and get stronger with every session.

At Barbellhouse, the environment is built for one thing: performance. We use competition-standard Bullrock equipment, from 20kg men’s and 15kg women’s barbells to professional bumper plates, housed on dedicated wooden lifting platforms.

Our group training isn't just about sweating; it’s about understanding the physics of the lift. I break down the snatch and clean and jerk into segments so you actually know what your body is doing. We integrate specific strength and conditioning drills—like box jumps for vertical explosive force, kettlebell circuits for stability, and core work to support your heavy lifts.

It doesn't matter if you are a total beginner or an athlete from another sport. You will get the same technical attention. We keep sessions loud, focused, and supportive. If you struggle with mobility or find a position difficult, we adapt the drills to get you there, rather than letting you ego-lift.
