About Mindful Moments: Meditation & Mudras
You won't find us sitting in total silence for an hour. In my sessions, we bring the energy of mudras into our daily flow. Whether you are using the Ganesh Mudra to clear obstacles in your morning or practicing Hakini Mudra to sharpen focus during a busy workday, these are simple, hand-based tools you can use the moment you step off your mat.
Finding Stillness in the City
Living in Mumbai, I know how hard it can be to find a moment of peace. That is why I created these specific meditation and mudra modules—to help you reset quickly, even on your most chaotic days. We don't believe in rigid rules here. Whether you are a beginner or a regular yogini, our classes are designed to be accessible, safe, and supportive.
How We Practice
We blend traditional techniques with modern needs:
- Hand Gestures (Mudras): From the Lotus Mudra for compassion to the Uttarbodhi Mudra for confidence, we teach you how these gestures influence your energy flow and nervous system.
- Pranayama & Breath: Simple alternate nostril breathing (Anulom Vilom) helps balance the brain and calm the nerves.
- Aerial Meditation: Sometimes we take meditation to the silks. Floating in a hammock allows for a deeper level of surrender, helping you release tension from the spine while you sit in quiet reflection.
- Thematic Sessions: During festivals like Mahashivratri or Buddha Purnima, we incorporate specific mantras and mudras to tap into the energy of the season.
Why it Works
These sessions are about real relief. If you are struggling with anxiety, work stress, or just feeling drained, these small 'mindful moments' act as a circuit breaker for your stress response. We keep the groups small so you get personal attention, and the vibe is always 'stri shakti'—women supporting women. You don't need to be flexible or have a perfect pose to join us. You just need to show up and breathe.
Namaste Yoga Classes
I’m Amisha. I started Namaste Yoga Classes to build a home away from home where you don’t need to be perfect, you just need to show up. Whether we are practicing mudras on the floor or meditating in the aerial silks, my goal is always to help you reconnect with yourself.
