Props aren't just tools—they're your partners on the mat. We use wheels, balls, and hoops to make yoga fun, accessible, and deep.

A look back at a month of flow and festivities. We flowed through empowering aerial sequences and built strength with props like sticks in our power yoga sessions.

Transform your flow with a stick. This Stick Surya Namaskar variation adds a new layer of mindfulness to your practice, helping deepen stretches, activate your core, and improve posture.

Feeling the weekday blues? Spin your way to strength with our hula hoop workout. This playful routine engages your core, tones your waist, and makes you smile through every spin.

Can't do a full Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) yet? A gym ball is a great tool to help you get there safely. It supports your back, allowing you to achieve a deeper backbend and activate your core without strain.

Struggling with a stiff spine from sitting at a desk? Our Yoga Wheel Surya Namaskar is a game-changer. The wheel helps open up the back, making your spine feel lighter and more flexible.

Our most demanded workshop is back. The Yoga Wheel is an amazing prop to stretch deeper, strengthen your core, and unlock your true potential on the mat.

Unlock your flexibility and strength with gym ball yoga. Here, I demonstrate how to use the ball for asanas like Vakrasana (twist) and Trikonasana (triangle) to improve spinal mobility and core strength.

Hula hoops aren't just for fun; they are a perfect prop for a full-body stretch. Here, I demonstrate how to use the hoop to deepen a hamstring stretch, enhance a side bend, and work on core balance.

Get ready to groove with our yoga dance class featuring the Yoga Wheel. The wheel helps improve mobility and balance while adding a fun, dynamic element to the flow.

About Creative Flow: Practice with Props

Think props make yoga too serious? Actually, it's the opposite. Using a yoga wheel or a gym ball is like having a support system right there with you. If your spine feels stiff from sitting at your desk all day, or if a deep backbend feels a bit scary, these tools help you find your comfort zone. We use sticks, hula hoops, and wheels to gently guide your body, making poses safer and much more enjoyable.

Many women come to me at my Khar West studio worried that they are not 'flexible enough' to start. My answer is always the same: that is exactly why we use props.

When we use a yoga wheel, it acts as an extension of your spine, giving you the lift you need to open your chest and shoulders without strain. For my desk-bound yoginis, this is often a game-changer for releasing that 3 pm stiffness. We also use gym balls to make inversions like Chakrasana safer, giving you the confidence to move deeper into the pose while keeping your core active and supported.

It is not just about the technical benefits, though. Incorporating hula hoops or rhythm sticks turns a static pose into a playful dance. I love seeing the energy in the room shift when we bring out the hoops; we end up laughing, sweating, and working our core without even realizing it.

My approach is to keep it simple and safe. You do not need to be a gymnast to join these workshops. You just need to show up. Whether we are using napkins to slide into deeper stretches or using sticks for posture alignment, every prop has a purpose. It helps you unlock range of motion that your body might have been holding onto for years. Come, let us create some magic on the mat together.

I'm Amisha, and at Namaste Yoga Classes, I believe the mat should be a place of joy, not stress. I started this space in Khar West twelve years ago to build a community where women can feel safe, laugh, and just be themselves. Whether we are using a yoga wheel or just our own breath, my goal is to help you feel stronger, inside and out.
