Real Yoga Moments and Behind-the-Scenes
Yoga is not always about the perfect pose. Sometimes it is about holding that plank a little longer than you expected and laughing about it later.
POV: You know that 5 counts in a yoga class is never really just 5 counts. A fun and relatable video for anyone who has ever taken a yoga class.
About this collection
When I count to five in my class, it might feel like a lot longer than five seconds, but that is where the work happens. My Malleshwaram studio is a space where we embrace the challenge together, with small groups that ensure you get the guidance you need to stay safe and steady while moving through your Hatha and Vinyasa flow.
Yoga is often portrayed as perfect, serene, and effortlessly graceful. In my practice, we keep it grounded in reality. My Hatha and Vinyasa classes are designed for people who have jobs, stress, and busy lives. We focus on mindful transitions and breath-led movement, not just the aesthetic of the pose.
When you join my rooftop sessions, you won't find a room full of strangers trying to outdo each other. We cap my batches at 12 students because I need to see your form and offer real, tactile corrections. If you are struggling with a specific transition or feeling tight in your hamstrings, we work on it right there on the mat. We use blocks, straps, and alignment cues to make the practice accessible for your unique body. Whether you are coming back after a long break or stepping onto a mat for the first time, my goal is for you to leave feeling lighter than when you walked up those stairs to the roof.
Gowri
I'm Gowri, and I founded Mudra to create the sanctuary I needed during my own tough times. I teach a blend of Hatha and Vinyasa, focusing on breath and movement in a way that respects your body’s limits. We skip the ego here, just real practice in a small, supportive group.
