About Additional Moments from the Mat

You might notice our practice often involves danda (sticks), wheels, and blocks. These props are not crutches for beginners, but tools for everyone to safely explore deeper alignment and functional strength. We use them to help you meet your body where it is today, so you can focus on your breath rather than struggling to reach a standard posture.

At our studio in Kailash Colony, we believe the practice is a journey inward, not a performance. This is why you will not find a single mirror in our Yogshala. When you remove the distraction of watching yourself, you start to feel the nuances of your own alignment, trusting your internal feedback instead of an external reflection.

Our community—or Sangha—is built on this shared philosophy. Whether you join us for a Hatha session, a dynamic flow, or one of our restorative Friday sound healing circles, the goal remains the same: balance. We keep our group sizes small, usually capped at 10 to 14 students, which allows me to provide personal attention and alignment corrections that you might miss in larger, impersonal gym classes.

We welcome everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. If you have been hesitant about yoga because you feel 'stiff' or think you need to be flexible to start, please know that you are exactly who we are here for. We utilize props like straps and chairs to make traditional postures accessible, safe, and effective for every body type.
