Karate is more than fighting. At our Raclo Dojo in Koramangala, we train to build strong bodies and quiet minds. Here is the spirit behind our daily practice.

The philosophy of Kyokushin is deep and powerful. This art represents the search for the ultimate truth.

The practice of Mokuso, or quiet meditation, at the beginning and end of each class. This is a moment to clear the mind, focus, and show respect.

A montage of training moments at the Raclo dojo. We are one Kyokushin, one family, pushing each other to be better every day.

About Dojo Life & Philosophy

Training at our dojo starts and ends with Mokuso. We sit in silence to clear our minds before beginning the hard work of Kihon and Kumite. It is not about relaxing, but about grounding ourselves before the physical intensity of the session begins.

Our Kyokushin Spirit

We follow the old philosophy: Atama wa hikuku, me wa takaku, kuchi tsutsushinde kokoro hiroku. Keep your head low, eyes high, mouth shut, heart open. This is what I teach every student who walks through our doors. It is not just about learning how to throw a punch or land a kick; it is about building the discipline to face your fears.

The Raclo Dojo Environment

Our dojo in Koramangala is a traditional space. We do not use air conditioning because the sweat is part of the process. We train on 1-inch interlocking EVA foam mats, barefoot, feeling the ground with every movement. You will see tractor tires and heavy resistance bands in the corners. These are not props. We use them for old-school conditioning to build the raw power required for full-contact Kyokushin karate.

More Than a Sport

I have been teaching this style for over 30 years, carrying on the lessons from my teacher, Shihan Jennifer. When you join our dojo, you join a community. We have students who have grown from beginners to instructors. Whether you are here for self-defense, fitness, or the mental challenge of sparring, you will be pushed to improve. Expect regular belt grading under IBKO and sessions that require your full focus. We are here to train hard, respect the lineage, and build a stronger version of ourselves.
