A glimpse into our daily life. Here, strict karate discipline meets the warmth of a real family, where every student grows stronger, together.

This is the ultimate test of trust and precision. Here, I am demonstrating a bo staff strike, breaking a coconut held on a student's head. This drill teaches immense focus and control, and is a testament to the bond we share.

The power of unity and discipline on full display. This is an aerial view of one of our large-scale outdoor training sessions, where hundreds of students move together as one, practicing their kata.

We also explore spectacular martial arts displays, like this fire-breathing demonstration. It's a showcase of courage, control, and the powerful spirit we cultivate in our advanced students.

To me, my students are like my own children. Here we are celebrating a young student's birthday after class. I am hugging him and wishing him well, a small moment that shows the family spirit of our dojo.

A moment of action from our kumite (sparring) practice. A student executes a clean, high kick while her opponent maintains a strong guard. We train with full protective gear to ensure every session is safe and effective.

As a Sensei, I lead from the front. I am seen here guiding my students during an outdoor kata session, ensuring every movement is precise and every stance is strong.

Power and focus combined. Our students demonstrate their breaking skills on flaming tiles during a belt examination. This is an advanced technique that requires complete confidence and mental strength.

About Featured

Training here isn't just about punching; it is about 'aarogyana kapadikolli'—taking care of your health. You will see us sparring with full protective gear or breaking tiles during examinations, but just as often, you will find us celebrating a student's birthday with drums and dance. We train hard to stay fit and build discipline, but we keep the family spirit alive because that is what makes us truly strong.

Discipline as the Foundation

Karate is more than just fighting. At Ashoka Martial Arts Academy, we teach students of all ages that the most important victory is the one over your own limitations. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned competitor, our sessions focus on the fundamentals: proper stances (Dachi), thrusts, and kicks. We maintain a strict dojo etiquette—we start with a bow, we focus on 'one count, one moment', and we ensure safety through controlled sparring (kumite).

Where We Train

We believe in adapting to the environment. While we teach the core of traditional karate, our sessions are held in practical settings, including outdoor school grounds and semi-covered halls in RR Nagar. This teaches students adaptability and focus, regardless of the surroundings. You will see us practicing Kata in large groups, moving in perfect synchronization, or honing precision with Bo Staff and Nunchaku.

More Than a School

My students are 'namma makkalu' (our children). When we aren't training, we are celebrating. We mark every belt promotion, every competition success, and every birthday with the same energy we bring to the dojo. This balance is intentional. We push you to be tough, but we ensure you always have a supportive team behind you. If you are looking to build strength, discipline, and a sense of community, come train with us.

I am Ashok Raju, and I run this academy like a home, not a business. Whether we are practicing Kata or celebrating a birthday with music, my goal is simple: to help every student become stronger and healthier. I treat my students like my own children, namma makkalu, because that is what they are to me.
