Precision is the hallmark of Kyokushin. Whether it is Tensho or Saifa, we build your martial arts journey from the ground up, perfecting every stance, block, and strike before moving forward.

This is the Tensho kata, which emphasizes soft, circular movements and controlled breathing. It is a perfect complement to the hard, linear techniques of other katas.

Practicing the Saifa kata outdoors. This form teaches how to fight opponents from four directions, combining powerful strikes with quick, evasive footwork.

Group practice of basic techniques in the dojo. Moving together as one unit builds discipline, rhythm, and a shared sense of purpose.

Tobi Geri, or jumping kick practice. We use simple tools like a chair to help students develop the height, control, and confidence needed for advanced acrobatic kicks.

About Kata & Kihon: The Foundation of Karate

At Raclo Dojo, we do not skip steps. You will spend your first few weeks mastering Kihon basics, such as stance and weight distribution, before attempting complex Kata. We use simple tools like chairs for high kicks and floor-based conditioning to ensure you are physically ready for the intensity of full-contact training. You need to be prepared for repetitive, monotonous drilling. It is not for everyone, but it is how we forge fighters.
