Kyokushin Strength and Conditioning Classes
A strong spirit requires a strong body. At Raclo Dojo, we use traditional methods to forge the power, stamina, and mental grit required for full-contact karate.
The tire carry is a test of total body strength and endurance. This exercise builds the powerful core and legs needed for Kyokushin stances and kicks.

Tire flips are another tool we use for developing explosive power. This functional strength training directly translates to more powerful blocks and strikes.

The process of tire training requires focus and proper form. It is not just about lifting, but about controlling the weight and pushing your physical limits.
About Strength & Conditioning: Forging a Strong Body
We don't use fancy gym machines at our Koramangala dojo. Instead, we use tractor tires, heavy resistance bands, and high-repetition bodyweight drills to build the functional, raw power you need for Kyokushin sparring. This old-school approach is how we prepare our students for IBKO grading and ensure they can maintain their form under pressure, whether in the dojo or during real-world situations.
In our dojo, conditioning is never separated from karate. You are not lifting for appearance. You are training for resilience. Every session incorporates Kihon and Kata, but the strength work is the foundation of everything we do.
Why do we train this way? Because fighting requires more than just knowing a punch. It requires the endurance to keep your guard up when you are exhausted and the core strength to generate power from a deep Zenkutsu-dachi stance. We train you to manage your breath and stay focused even when you are drenched in sweat.
Our environment is traditional. We train in a non-AC space with ceiling fans, focusing on building stamina through functional movements. We use simple tools like tractor tires because they force you to engage your entire body, not just isolated muscle groups. This is how we have trained for over 30 years.
Whether you are preparing for an IBKO belt grading or simply want to build mental fortitude, the work here is constant. You will be tired and you will struggle, but you will get stronger. That is the Kyokushin way. Osu.
