I teach children that karate is about more than just punches and kicks. At my Koramangala dojo, we build character, focus, and physical strength through the discipline of traditional Kyokushin Karate.

A glimpse into our kids' batch at the Raclo dojo. We drill basics like Gedan Mawashi Geri (low roundhouse kick) and Age Tsuki (rising punch) until the movements become second nature.

Even outside the dojo, the discipline remains. Here, young students practice their kicking drills and stances, showing the focus that martial arts builds.

Repetition is the key to mastery. This video shows young students practicing their blocking and striking combinations, building muscle memory and coordination.

Core strength is essential for powerful techniques. Our kids' classes include conditioning exercises to build a strong physical base for their karate training.

This is a demonstration of a junior sequence for the blue belt level. Each kata teaches students how to combine different techniques into a fluid and powerful form.

Two young students demonstrate a senior sequence for the orange belt. This shows the progression in complexity and power as students advance through the ranks.

This is the orange belt junior sequence. Notice the focus on sharp, clean movements and strong stances, which are key elements we emphasize in our training.

Every journey begins with the first step. Here, a student practices a white belt sequence, focusing on the fundamental blocks and punches that form the base of Kyokushin.

A young student practices her kata outdoors. We encourage practice in different environments to build adaptability and focus.

Karate is a dynamic sport. This shows our dojo kids practicing movements that are foundational for sports MMA, focusing on agility and coordination.

About Kids Karate: Building Future Champions

I focus on repetition because true discipline is not built in a day. We drill basics like Gedan Mawashi Geri and Age Tsuki until they become muscle memory. It is not about perfect form on day one, but about showing up to the dojo, listening, and trying harder than you did the previous week.

My classes at the Raclo Dojo in Koramangala go beyond teaching simple self-defense. Kyokushin Karate is a demanding path, and I teach children how to navigate it with respect and perseverance. When a student enters my dojo, they learn that physical fitness is only half the battle; the other half is mental fortitude.

We break down training into clear, manageable steps. We start with Kihon, which are the fundamental stances, blocks, and strikes. Children practice these forms repeatedly to build balance and coordination. As they advance, we introduce Kata, which are choreographed patterns that require deep concentration. This is where they learn to control their body and their mind.

Sparring is part of the growth, but it is strictly supervised. We use protective gear, and my goal is to teach control rather than aggression. A child who learns to spar safely learns to respect their partner. Parents often ask if their child needs to be athletic to start. The answer is no. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking for a challenge, they are welcome. The only requirement is a willingness to learn and respect the dojo hierarchy. We hold regular belt gradings under the International Budo Karate Organization (IBKO), giving students concrete goals to aim for. If you are looking for a community that values character as much as combat, my dojo is the place. Osu.

I am Sensei Carvalho. I believe every child has a warrior's spirit if they have the right guidance. In my dojo, we do not treat karate as a game; we teach it as a way to build character that lasts a lifetime.
