About Karate Camps & Tournaments
Why I Run Karate Camps & Tournaments
Training in the dojo is just the start. Real growth kicks in when you step out and face the unknown. My camps and tournaments are where you find out what you’re made of. You’ll face your fears, sometimes lose, sometimes win, but always learn.
What Happens at My Camps
I take you out of your comfort zone. We train deep in the forest or by the river, away from city noise. Everyone trains together - beginners, black belts, all sweating it out. We drill basics (Kihon), forms (Kata), and sparring (Kumite) till your muscles ache and your mind sharpens. Nature pushes you harder than any gym. You’ll get tired, maybe frustrated, but you’ll come out stronger.
Tournaments: Where You Test Yourself
I organize and join all kinds of events - from full contact karate championship fights to kata competitions. There’s even a Lowkick Tournament for anyone wanting to test their power. Local events like the All Bangalore Open help build our karate community. Sometimes, we do online kata competitions too, so you can join from anywhere.
How We Prepare
We train hard, but simple. Sparring, pad work, strength drills, and regular gradings keep you ready. You’ll sweat, you’ll struggle, but you’ll see progress.
Our Kyokushin Family
We stick together. Atama wa hikuku, me wa takaku, kuchi tsutsushinde kokoro hiroku (Keep your head low, eyes high, mouth shut, heart open). Whether you’re in the forest or the ring, you’re never alone. Osu!

My Story
Osh. I’m Sensei Carvalho. Kyokushin Karate is my life, not just a sport. My teacher, Shihan Jennifer, taught me courage—her spirit is with us always. Our dojo in Bangalore is like a family, we train, we laugh, we support. Even outside the dojo, I try to keep my heart big—like feeding stray dogs during lockdown. Strong body, strong heart, both matter. Osu.
