Yoga is more than just poses. This collection captures the essence of my practice in Gurgaon, where we blend breathwork, mindful movement, and deep stillness to help you live more steadily.

Namaste. I'm Komal, and for 17 years, my teaching has centered on mental health. In this video, I share my core belief that true yoga begins with mindfulness. I demonstrate a few asanas for stress relief like Balasana and Vrikshasana, and introduce Anulom Vilom pranayama to help balance your nervous system. This is more than movement; it is care for your mind and spirit.

Hearing from my students is the greatest affirmation of my work. In this clip, a student shares her experience, explaining how my sessions are a space for both healing and feeling held. This is the safe environment I strive to create for everyone who walks through my door.

If you struggle with sleep, your breath is a powerful tool. This video demonstrates three simple pranayama techniques I teach to calm the nervous system for deep, restful sleep. You will see how to practice 3-step yogic breathing, alternate nostril breathing, and equal part breathing to quiet a restless mind.

Here I am demonstrating a Tai Chi posture, a practice I call moving meditation. This ancient art is about finding focus and internal strength through slow, deliberate movement. It is an excellent way to ground your energy and reset your nervous system, especially if you find it difficult to sit still.

Healing after a C-section is a sacred and delicate process. This image shows a gentle, supported stretch designed to release tension and reconnect with your core. With pillows for support and hands on the belly, this practice is about softness, deep breathing, and honoring your body's journey of recovery.

This is the introduction to a simple yet powerful 5-step breathing meditation I've designed. It's a perfect starting point for anyone new to mindfulness, offering a clear, guided path to slow down and connect with your breath.

This video offers a look inside one of my Hatha Yoga classes. You can see students of different levels moving together, from seated meditation to inversions like Sarvangasana (shoulder stand). It captures the focused, collective energy of our group practice.

In this photo, I am meditating outdoors in a forest, connecting with the spirit of Basant Panchami. This practice of sitting in nature is a core part of my philosophy, helping to align our inner world with the rhythms of the universe and awaken our own creativity and wisdom.

About Featured

When you practice with me, we don't just stretch; we explore. Whether it’s a 60-minute Hatha session or a 90-minute Tai Chi workshop, my goal is to help you build a 'Sadhana'—a daily discipline that stabilizes the mind. We use props not as cheats, but as bridges to correct alignment, ensuring that even if you feel stiff or new to this, you find ease in every movement.

My practice isn't about fitting into a mold or mastering a pose for the perfect photo. It is about showing up for yourself, especially on the days when that feels like the hardest thing to do.

The Core of My Practice

  • Breath as Medicine: Before we move, we breathe. I focus heavily on Pranayama—techniques like Anulom Vilom and Deep Belly Breathing—to regulate your nervous system. These are not just warm-ups; they are tools for anxiety management and better sleep that you can take off the mat and into your daily life.
  • Mindful Movement: Whether we are practicing Hatha, Vinyasa, or slow-flow Tai Chi, the focus remains on 'Sthira Sukham Asanam'—finding steadiness and comfort. We move intentionally, connecting our internal energy (Qi) with our physical alignment.
  • A Space for Everyone: I limit my group batches to 8-12 students. This isn't just for comfort; it is to ensure I can watch your alignment, offer modifications, and provide the personal attention you need to stay safe and grow.

Why Practice With Me

After 17 years of teaching in Gurgaon, I have learned that the most important work happens when you stop pushing and start listening to your body. Whether you are recovering from a C-section, managing stress, or looking to start a new fitness journey, my studio is a space where your breakthroughs—and your breakdowns—are equally welcome. We don't just 'do' yoga; we live it.
