Mindful Reflections and Intentions for Your Journey
Sometimes we need to pause and reset our perspective. These are my reflections, shared with you, on staying present and finding peace through every season of life.
A "Happy Now Year" greeting. This image, with me in a Warrior I pose against a misty backdrop, is a reminder to leave the past behind and live in the now, enjoying the blank slate of the new year.
About Greetings & Reflections
In my seventeen years of teaching, I have realized that the most powerful practice does not happen on the mat. It happens in the quiet moments between the festivals, the daily hustle, and the life transitions we all face. Whether it is a New Year’s intention or a simple morning gratitude, I teach how to bring that Sthira Sukham—that steady, easeful state—into your actual life in Gurgaon, not just the studio.
Yoga is often mistaken for a series of physical poses. But when you look closer, it is really about the Sthira Sukham Asanam—the ability to remain steady and easeful, no matter what life throws at you. These reflections are part of my daily sadhana, a practice of staying grounded while navigating the fast-paced nature of modern life.
Why Practice Reflection?
Real change, or Tapas (the inner fire of discipline), requires you to show up for your mind just as much as your body. My studio is a sanctuary for this, where we don't just 'do' yoga, we 'live' it. When we take time to reflect, we align our energy with the cycles of nature, making the practice much more than a workout.
- Aligning with Seasons: We explore how energy shifts during festivals like Navratri or the arrival of a new season.
- Finding Stillness: These reflections help you identify when you are holding onto stress and give you a tool to release it.
- Building Consistency: By treating your mental space with the same respect as your physical posture, you build a sustainable routine.
Whether you are looking to manage anxiety or simply want to deepen your connection to yourself, these messages are an invitation to slow down. I encourage you to join my small group sessions where we combine breathwork, mantra chanting, and gentle movement to help you return to your center. It is not about being perfect; it is about being present.
