Chronic pain is not something you just have to endure. Using the scientific precision of the Iyengar method, I help you move beyond masking symptoms, focusing instead on realigning your spine and releasing the tension holding your body back.

Backache is a volcano hiding in your body. Morning stiffness is the first signal. If you have a slip disc or disc bulge, activities like running or gym workouts are injurious. In my medical classes, I teach you how to use yogic treatment to precisely align the spine, create space between the vertebrae, and release pinched nerves to get you out of pain.

Here, we are using ropes and the assistance of a teacher to work on releasing deep seated tension in the neck and shoulders. This is not a generic stretch; it is a targeted therapeutic application to create space and mobility where it is needed most, providing lasting relief from chronic stiffness.

Your body is a precisely manufactured, bilaterally symmetrical machine. When you slouch, you compress your lungs, heart, and intestines, impacting your breathing and digestion. In my medical classes, I don't just show you poses; I give you the knowledge and tools to understand your alignment and correct it, helping you get out of pain in as little as 10 days.

This student is being guided through a therapeutic sequence using a specialized prop to address spinal issues. This is not about temporary relief with pills. We use the Iyengar method to fix the root of the pain, allowing you to stand tall and move without wincing.

If you are fed up with health issues that leave you feeling stale and depressed, it is time to restructure your health. In my medical classes, we use props like blocks, bolsters, and ropes to support the body and work on deep rooted problems, helping you regain a positive state of mind.

Pain drains your energy and mood. Here, a student is being assisted in a supported forward bend using a bench and ropes. This setup allows for a deep, passive release of the spine and hamstrings, which is crucial for healing chronic back issues and restoring vitality.

Pain while sitting, standing, or lifting can signal serious spinal issues. In this image, we are using a supported headstand variation to decompress the spine and improve circulation, all under careful supervision. Don't wait for the pain to worsen; my medical programs are designed to address these problems head on.

Pain can turn a positive mind negative. A simple supported backbend over a chair, as shown here, can be a game changer. It helps to open the chest, improve posture, and calm the nervous system, which is a critical part of the healing process in my medical classes.

This student shares his experience with tight hips and lower back pain. After just 10 classes, he feels a significant difference and relief. This is the power of a consistent and correctly guided practice, even for problems that have lasted for years.

Why rely on medicines when your body has the power to heal itself? Here, we use belts and bolsters to support the body in restorative poses. This allows the nervous system to calm down and the body's natural healing mechanisms to take over.

About Therapeutic Yoga: Healing Through Movement

If you are dealing with a slip disc or persistent back pain, stop going to the gym. Running or heavy lifting will only stress an already compromised spine. In these therapeutic classes, we use props like wall ropes and bolsters not to make the pose easier, but to precisely align your vertebrae and create the space your nerves need to recover.

The Science of Correct Alignment

Most people treat pain by trying to 'stretch it out' or mask it with medication. This is a mistake. When your body is misaligned, you are essentially a leaking beaker; your energy—or pran shakti—is spilling out, leading to stiffness, compressed vertebrae, and organ pressure. My therapeutic classes are designed to plug these leaks.

Why Props Are Not Optional

Many think yoga blocks and ropes are for beginners. In my studio, they are medical equipment. If you have scoliosis, post-surgery weakness, or sciatica, your body cannot support itself in a standard pose. We use teak bricks, bolsters, and wall ropes to suspend the body, removing gravity’s load from your joints. This allows us to target specific muscle groups and spinal segments safely.

The 10-Day Shift

I don't offer vague promises. In my medical batches, we focus on functional movement patterns. Whether you are recovering from a disc bulge or chronic neck stiffness, the goal is simple: restore your bilateral symmetry. Students often report a noticeable difference in their pain threshold within just 10 sessions. You aren't here to become a gymnast; you are here to reclaim your ability to sit, walk, and sleep without wincing.

What to Expect

This is not a group flow class. We assess your physical condition—be it a herniated disc or postural imbalance—and adjust the practice accordingly. Expect hands-on corrections and a curriculum that prioritizes safety over intensity.
