Yoga for Pain Relief and Chronic Healing
Chronic pain from desk jobs or injuries shouldn't be your normal. I guide you through personalized therapeutic yoga to heal your back, neck, and joints naturally.
In this video, I demonstrate three of the most effective asanas for back pain relief: Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana) for spinal flexibility, Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) to strengthen the lower back, and Reclining Twist (Markatasana) to release tension.
This is the first part of my guide to relieving shoulder pain. I explain the common causes, like poor posture and stress, and demonstrate the first two exercises to start releasing tension and improving mobility in the shoulder joints.
Continuing from Part 1, this video demonstrates three more simple yet powerful seated exercises to combat shoulder pain. I show you how to properly stretch and rotate the shoulders to find lasting relief.
This graphic illustrates three key poses for a healthy back. We practice Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) to strengthen the back muscles, Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) for spinal flexibility, and Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog) to lengthen the spine.
Here are three more foundational poses I teach for back pain management. Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) builds core and glute strength to support the spine, Marjariasana (Cat-Cow) improves mobility, and Markatasana (Spinal Twist) releases lower back tension.
The change in seasons can often bring health challenges like colds and joint stiffness. This graphic shows chest-opening poses like Bhujangasana, Setu Bandhasana, and Ustrasana that I teach to boost immunity and improve respiratory health.
Personal attention is key, especially when working with stiffness. Here, an instructor provides hands-on assistance to a senior client in a seated forward bend, helping him safely deepen the stretch and improve hamstring flexibility.
This video shows a dynamic partner stretching session in our studio. We use partner work to help clients achieve a deeper leg stretch, improve alignment in lunges, and build both strength and trust.
Partner yoga is a wonderful way to relax and deepen your practice. Here, two clients enjoy a supported spinal twist, using each other for stability and gentle resistance to release tension in the back and shoulders.
This image captures a beautiful moment of support and connection. One client performs Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) while her partner provides a stable base in a forward fold, creating a mutually beneficial stretch.
About Yoga for Pain Relief
We don't use cookie-cutter routines here. In my therapeutic sessions, we analyze the root cause—whether it’s a desk-bound lifestyle or an old injury—and build a sequence using props like yoga wheels and blocks to safely decompress your spine. You will feel the difference in your range of motion after just a few sessions.
My approach to pain relief is clinical and consistent. Most of the clients who come to me at my Vivek Vihar or Indirapuram studios are dealing with tech-neck, Sciatica, or lower back stiffness from sitting for long hours. We address this by moving away from standard flows and focusing on Physio-yoga fusion.
We incorporate asanas like Marjaryasana (Cat-Cow) to lubricate the spine and Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) to build core stability. The use of specialized equipment, like yoga wheels, is essential for students with limited flexibility; it provides the support needed to safely open the chest and shoulders without straining your joints.
Whether you join our small group therapeutic batches (capped at 12) or opt for a 1-on-1 home session across Delhi NCR, the goal remains the same: functional movement. We often include assisted stretching—similar to Thai massage—where I or my senior instructors help you reach a deeper stretch that you couldn't achieve alone. It is about creating space in your body, not just holding a pose.
