Creative Movement: Kids Yoga with Props in JP Nagar
We turn traditional yoga into a playful game. Using chairs, wheels, and blocks, we help your child build strength, balance, and confidence in a supportive, fun-filled studio environment.
Our kids' yoga session is full of creative movement. This video shows how we use chairs for everything from gentle stretches to balancing poses, keeping the class dynamic and fun.
Chair yoga isn't just for adults. Our kids use chairs to work on leg extensions and hip flexibility, making challenging poses more achievable.
A young student demonstrates incredible focus and flexibility, using a chair to support a standing leg-to-head pose.
Using a chair to deepen the stretch in Dhanurasana, or Bow Pose. Props are fantastic tools for helping kids safely explore the full range of their bodies.
A supported camel pose using a chair. This modification allows for a deep backbend while ensuring the neck and spine are protected.
Teamwork using a yoga wheel. These two girls support each other in a partner backbend, building trust and communication while having fun.
This young yogi gets creative with blocks and a yoga wheel to practice a challenging balancing pose, improving her strength and coordination.
About this collection
When kids start yoga, static poses can feel like homework, so we introduce props to change the game. Using chairs, yoga wheels, and blocks transforms a simple stretch into a balancing challenge or a supported backbend, making poses like Dhanurasana safer and far more engaging for active young minds.
In our JP Nagar studios, we believe that children learn best when they are moving, exploring, and having fun. Standard yoga poses can sometimes feel rigid or unattainable for younger bodies, which is why our Creative Movement program integrates specific props—chairs, foam blocks, and yoga wheels—to bridge that gap.
Chairs, for instance, are not just for sitting; they become essential tools for alignment correction and support during leg extensions, helping kids build core strength without overexertion. Yoga wheels assist in deeper backbends like Chakrasana, providing a stable foundation so children can explore their range of motion safely.
Beyond the physical, these tools make the practice feel like a game. Whether it is using blocks for balancing drills or exploring new spatial dimensions, we ensure that every session builds coordination, focus, and confidence. We limit our batch sizes to ensure each child receives the attention they need, making our 5 PM weekday sessions a great way for your child to de-stress after school.
