About Calm Minds, Happy Hearts
We teach Trataka, or candle gazing, in our sessions to help children build focus and calm their busy minds. It is a simple, non-intimidating practice that works wonders for concentration and sleep, and it is usually the part of our routine that the kids find most fascinatingly quiet.
Yoga for children is about much more than just physical agility. In a world where screen time and academic pressure start early, we focus on building emotional resilience and quiet focus. At our JP Nagar and Akshayanagar studios, our approach to mindfulness is play-based rather than dogmatic.
We use Trataka, the ancient practice of candle gazing, to ground wandering minds. It is wonderful to watch children settle into this stillness; it improves their visual focus and helps them decompress after a long school day. Alongside this, we integrate simple breathwork that helps them manage big emotions and find better sleep patterns.
Our sessions are intentionally kept in semi-private batches of 8 to 15 children. This allows our instructors to offer the individual guidance required for safe practice while maintaining the energy of a supportive peer group. Whether your child is looking for a way to burn off energy through movement or needs a space to calm down, our mat is open.
