Kids Yoga Classes: Building Strength Through Play

Yoga isn't just silence and stillness. At my studio in Gunjur, we build strength, focus, and confidence through laughter, partner games, and movement that kids actually enjoy.

They say spend time with people your age, but I find I grow the most with children. They remind me to play, move, and try without fear or shame.

Our inversion challenge isn't just about poses, it's about flowing and growing together. We always make time for fun and dancing at the end.

My gym doesn't have weights, it has kids. This is my favorite way to do strength training, sponsored by giggles and pure fun.

Partner yoga is all about trust, balance, and having fun. Here, I'm supporting a student in a playful flying pose.

Sometimes the best part of yoga is the connection you make. A quiet moment of trust and play with one of my youngest students.

We are a community, a circle of support. This is what our tribe is all about: lifting each other up and sharing our love for yoga.

After focused practice, it's time for fun and games. This is where the kids release their energy and just enjoy being together.

About this collection

In my sessions, we balance structure with play. Yes, we work on alignment, technique, and holding challenging poses, but the reason kids keep coming back is that they’re having fun doing it. It’s not a passive class; it’s a space where they learn to push their limits while making friends and laughing through the effort.

Why Movement Matters for Kids

Yoga for children isn't about perfectly touching toes or holding silent postures for an hour. It is about building body awareness, muscle strength, and a foundation of discipline that carries over into their school life. We use a 'tough love' approach—meaning I expect effort and alignment, but we balance that with games, laughter, and partner work that makes the hard work feel like play.

Our Approach: Props & Safety

We focus on technical, safe practice. This means we use wall ropes, wooden bricks, and straps to help kids get into the right alignment without strain. Whether we are working on posture correction for school-going kids or building core strength for inversions, every move is spotted and supervised. This studio is a place where we break down complex asanas into manageable, fun steps.

An Inclusive Tribe

Every child is welcome here. My classes integrate neurodiverse children—including those with Down syndrome and autism—with neurotypical students. I adapt poses to the individual child, not the other way around. If a child needs a different variation or a specific prop adjustment to feel safe and included, we do it. The goal is consistent, confident movement within a supportive community.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if my child can't sit still? That’s exactly why they should be here. We use mindfulness, breathing, and movement to help channel that energy productively.
  • How is this different from a gym class? We focus on anatomy, joint movement, and long-term posture health, not just cardio or burning energy.
