Engaging In-Studio Kids Yoga Classes in Shalimar Bagh
Study pressure and excessive screen time can take a toll on our bachhon. Aura Yog Centre helps kids build physical strength, improve focus, and develop a calm mind through playful, guided yoga.
This young student is practicing an advanced backbend, showing incredible flexibility and control. With consistent practice and proper guidance, children can safely achieve amazing things.
With the help of our YogGuru Chandra Mohan, students learn to safely deepen their stretches. This assisted standing split helps improve hamstring flexibility and body awareness.
The yoga wheel is a fantastic prop for kids. It supports the spine during backbends, making the pose feel playful and secure while opening up the chest and shoulders.
Here, YogGuru Chandra is assisting a young student with a full split, using blocks for support. This careful, guided approach helps build flexibility safely and effectively.
Using a chair as a prop is a great way to work on deep backbends. This technique provides stability and allows the student to focus on opening their spine with confidence.
These wall ropes are excellent for spinal decompression and building upper body strength. It's a fun and therapeutic way for kids to experience inversions safely.
This is a challenging back-bending asana that requires a lot of practice. I am so proud of this little yogini's dedication and the progress she has made in her flexibility.
Another example of using a chair to assist with an advanced posture. This helps the child understand the alignment of the pose while being fully supported by the instructor.
Our kids' batch is always full of energy. A little bit of dance and warm-up exercises get them ready and excited for their yoga practice.
About In-Studio Kids Yoga
We keep our in-studio batches small, typically limited to 8 to 15 children. This allows me and my team to provide hands-on adjustments, which are essential when children are learning complex poses like inversions or deep backbends. You will see us using yoga wheels, blocks, and ropes to ensure every movement is safe, supported, and effective for their growing bodies.
Why Kids Need Yoga
In today's fast-paced environment, children often struggle with poor posture due to hunching over books or devices. My classes at Aura Yog Centre are designed to counteract this. We focus on specific stretches that target spinal health and height growth, using props to make these movements accessible and fun rather than a chore.
The Aura Approach
We do not just teach asanas. We integrate mindfulness techniques, including Tratak (candle gazing), to improve eyesight and concentration levels. Each session includes Surya Namaskar for full-body conditioning and playful partner poses that build teamwork and social skills.
Safety and Guidance
I am joined by YogGuru Chandra Mohan Dhoundiyal, and together, we ensure every child is supervised closely. Whether it is using aerial ropes for spinal decompression or foam blocks for balance, we prioritize safety and alignment. Our studio in Shalimar Bagh is fully air-conditioned and equipped with standard 6mm mats, creating a dedicated, peaceful space where kids can leave the outside pressure behind and just be khush, swasth, aur mast (happy, healthy, and carefree).
If you are looking for a way to improve your child's posture, reduce their stress, or simply give them a healthy outlet for their energy, our regular classes are the right place to start.
