Community Yoga Retreats and Movement Workshops
Join my flowmies in Bangalore for immersive day workshops and multi-day retreats that help you disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with your own rhythm.
A group photo from a yoga bootcamp. I'm so grateful for all the experiences of learning and teaching that happen through yoga, and for the amazing people I get to share it with.
A moment of deep relaxation in Savasana during a sound healing session at a retreat. The energy in the room was so peaceful and restorative.
A throwback to a yoga retreat at the farm. It gives me such a sense of fulfillment to bring a community like this together and witness the tension leave their bodies as they sink into slowness.
Some experiences are best felt when shared. This is from a women's day retreat, where we came together to turn fears into fire. I'm so grateful for every woman who showed up for herself.
Another angle of our Savasana during a retreat. Guiding people into a state of rest and surrender is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
Last Sunday, our morning was filled with circles, hoops, and tricks. We always start with some asanas to warm up the body and prevent injuries.
A black and white shot of a group class in Mysore. The collective energy of practicing together in a dedicated space is truly profound.
About this collection
When we head to the farm for these retreats, I make sure the schedule leaves plenty of room to just breathe. We don't just do asanas, we pair movement with local, nourishing food partners and guided sound healing, so you leave the weekend feeling lighter than when you arrived.
Yoga is often a solo journey, but there is immense power in gathering with others. My workshops and retreats are where my flowmies really get to connect. Whether we are hosting a day-long bootcamp in the city or escaping to a peaceful farm on the outskirts of Bangalore, the goal is the same: to create a space where you can drop the 'doing' and simply 'be.'
What to expect at our gatherings
We keep the groups intimate to ensure everyone feels supported. You will not find large, impersonal classes here. Instead, we focus on:
- Collective Flow: Moving together in unison creates a shared energy that is hard to replicate at home.
- Nutritional Connection: I partner with local, mindful brands to ensure our retreat snacks and meals nourish your body as much as the practice nourishes your soul.
- Restorative Practices: From sound healing sessions during Savasana to nature walks between sessions, we prioritize nervous system regulation.
- Skill Sharing: These events are the best place to learn something new, like hula hoop flow or acro-yoga basics, in a safe, judgment-free zone.
These retreats are designed for everyone, whether you are a seasoned yogi or someone who has never touched their toes. It is not about perfecting a pose, it is about finding that state of Sthira (steadiness) and Sukha (ease) alongside a community that cheers you on. If you have been feeling disconnected or just need a reset, consider this your invitation to join our next circle.
Gowri Murthy
I am Gowri. I started these retreats because I believe movement is the best way to come home to yourself, especially when we do it together. I love bringing people together to move, laugh, and just be, so expect a whole lot of heart in every session we share.
