About Advanced Cadillac & Tower Work
When you step onto the Cadillac, we move beyond basic strengthening. I use the push-through bar and leg springs to actively decompress your spine, which is a game-changer if you are dealing with chronic tightness from desk work. Unlike the Reformer, this setup requires you to work against gravity in ways that challenge your proprioception, your body's ability to know where it is in space, which is crucial for building real, functional stability that lasts.
The Cadillac, or Trapeze Table, is the ultimate diagnostic tool in my studio. Because of my physiotherapy background, I don't see it as just a frame for acrobatics. I see it as a way to fix movement patterns.
Why Cadillac & Tower work?
Most of us spend our days in forward flexion, hunched over laptops or steering wheels. The Cadillac allows for extension work, opening up the chest, shoulders, and hips in a supported environment. With the Tower attachment, we can simulate Reformer work but with greater stability, allowing us to focus entirely on isolating specific muscle groups like the deep rotators of the hip or the serratus anterior for shoulder health.
Who is it for?
While you will see advanced inversions and acrobatic shapes in these photos, this work is scalable. If you are a beginner, we use the springs to assist you in range-of-motion exercises that might be too heavy on the floor. If you are an athlete or a regular practitioner, we use the same springs to add resistance, turning basic Pilates into a heavy-duty strength session.
We don't just exercise here. We assess your spine curvature, check your pelvic tilt, and adjust the spring tension to meet your body exactly where it is today. If you have specific pain points, like slipped discs or recurring knee discomfort, the Cadillac is often where we start the rehab process because it keeps you safe while you get stronger. It is about building a body that does not just look good, but functions without pain.
