A little Pilates challenge to test balance and core strength. This synchronized movement requires focus and control from both of us.
This post explains the crucial role of core muscles and how Pilates helps build that foundational strength. A strong core improves stability, enhances performance, and reduces injury risk.
Pilates is for everyone, including men. This post breaks down the benefits for men, from building functional core strength and flexibility to preventing injuries and improving athletic performance.
Happy World Pilates Day. Change happens through movement, and movement heals. This is the philosophy that guides every session in my studio.
"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness." This quote from Joseph Pilates is a core belief here. We focus on building a strong, happy body from the inside out.

About Additional Work & Studio Life
When you walk into the studio in Kalyan Nagar, you’ll notice it’s not just a gym. We’ve designed the space with climate control, natural light, and Merrithew SPX Max Reformers to provide a buffer against the noise outside. Whether you are here for a private rehab session or a small group class, the focus remains on the environment helping you tune into your breath, rather than just rushing through repetitions.
Why the Environment Matters
Movement is only as effective as the space you do it in. We aren't just about the equipment; we are a community that connects outside the studio walls, whether that’s through local treks or supporting each other during a tough set.
For the Aspiring Instructor
If you want to take your practice deeper, we host Stott Pilates instructor certification programs here. It is an intensive, science-based pathway for those who want to teach with the same precision and anatomical focus we use in our daily sessions.
What You Get:
- Mindful Atmosphere: We cap group reformer sessions at 6 people to ensure every movement is deliberate and safe. You won't get lost in a crowd here.
- Rehab-Focused: Because of my background as a physiotherapist, the studio serves as a clinical-grade space where we track your progress, whether you are recovering from an injury or fine-tuning your alignment.
- Constant Learning: From anatomical workshops to community meetups, we treat Pilates as a lifelong study, not a quick-fix fitness trend.
Everything here is chosen for a reason—from the mirrors that help you correct your own pelvic tilt to the variety of props we use to challenge your balance. You are not just joining a class; you are joining a tribe that cares about how you move long after you leave the mat.
Dr Pilates
I’m Dr. Govinda, and I started this studio because I saw too many people exercising without understanding how their bodies actually function. Here, we mix the science of physiotherapy with the flow of Pilates to help you move without pain. You will find me on the floor, personally correcting your form and making sure you are engaging the right muscles.
