Think of Capoeira as a conversation, not a fight. It’s an Afro-Brazilian blend of movement, music, and community that’s as much about the acrobatics as it is about making friends. Come see how we play.

This is the Roda, the heart of Capoeira. It's where music, movement, and energy all come together in a dynamic game. You can feel the Axé, the positive energy, that our community shares.

I often get asked, "What is Capoeira?" It's more than a martial art; it's a culture, a community, and a way to build confidence. In this video, our students and I share what it means to us, from the music and acrobatics to the incredible friendships we build.

Capoeira is an art form, a conversation between two bodies expressed through movement. Here's a look at the dynamic and fluid acrobatics you can learn, like this au, or cartwheel, against a beautiful sunset.

Our kids' workshops are all about playful energy and building confidence in a safe environment. We use games, stories, and lots of movement to introduce children to the fun of Capoeira, helping them grow stronger while they play.

Music is the soul of Capoeira. We sing together in Portuguese, play traditional instruments, and create the rhythm that drives every game. It’s a powerful experience that connects everyone in the room.

Here you can see the focus and energy during one of our workshops. We practice the foundational movements like the ginga, learning to stay low and ready for a playful exchange of kicks and escapes.

The beauty of Capoeira is that you can practice it anywhere, with nothing but your body and the ground beneath you. Here we are playing on the beach at sunset, connecting with nature and the rhythm of the waves.

This is our tribe, our family. We bring together people of all ages and backgrounds, from kids to adults, to share in the joy of movement and community. This photo captures the spirit of our annual Batizado festival.

About Featured

Capoeira is essentially a game we play within a circle, called the Roda. You don't need to be an athlete to start, as our sessions focus on building confidence, helping you pick up the Ginga base step and find your rhythm with the Berimbau, even if you’ve never tried a martial art before.
