Capoeira is a total workout for your body and mind. In my classes, we strip away the competition and focus on rhythm, movement, and learning the game from the ground up.

Our classes combine martial arts, dance, and acrobatics. Here, students work on handstand drills and flexibility, building the strength and control needed for Capoeira.

A great Sunday session focused on using movement for strength and conditioning. Participants worked on basic tumbling and handstand drills to build a strong foundation.

A synchronized sequence practice. Two students work on their cartwheels together, showing the grace and power of moving in unison.

A synchronized sequence between two players. These drills help improve timing, communication, and flow, preparing students for the spontaneous nature of the Roda.

Two players, one game. This is the rhythm of Capoeira in motion, a continuous flow of attacks, escapes, and counter-attacks.

The Memory Game. This is a great training technique to remember various Capoeira moves and practice making quick transitions based on your partner's actions.

A fun start to the year with a class full of new people. We begin with animal movements and build up to more complex sequences, all while singing along to the music.

Welcome to the controlled chaos of a Capoeira class. We start with chill warm-ups, drill individual moves, and then stack them together into a sequence. It's all about playing while getting stronger.

A typical class includes a blend of animal movements, basic kicks and escapes, handstands, and singing in Portuguese. There's always something new to learn.

Move, flow, and challenge yourself. Our classes are a perfect blend of martial arts, dance, and acrobatics, and we welcome all levels to join us.

About Training, Drills & Class Life

You won't find repetitive, mindless reps here. In our training, I use animal movements to build functional strength and mobility before we transition into sequence-based flows. I teach every movement step-by-step, stacking simple drills like the Ginga or basic cartwheels until they click, so you aren't just memorizing moves. You are building a conversation with your partner.
