About Capoeira Classes for Adults
What Capoeira Feels Like Here
Capoeira isn’t just a martial art - it’s a mix of dance, acrobatics, and playful competition. Every class feels like a jam session, full of movement, laughter, and a bit of daring. You’ll see handstands, quick dodges, and some clever tricks, but it’s never about fighting hard. We treat every session as a friendly game, where skill and fun come first.
How Our Classes Go
- We always start with relaxed warm-ups, using animal walks and stretches to loosen up.
- I break down Capoeira moves step by step, so you don’t need any background in dance or martial arts. We practice solo, then partner up for short combos.
- The best part is the ‘Roda’ - a circle where we play Capoeira to live music. It’s where you start feeling the real Capoeira vibe.
Who Shows Up? (Hint: Anyone Can)
Most people walk in having never kicked, flipped, or even clapped to a beat before. If you’re 14 or older, you’ll fit right in. We’re all here to try something new, get a full-body Capoeira fitness workout, and meet people who become friends.
More Than Just Moves
You’ll get stronger, more flexible, and pick up actual self-defense skills. But honestly, the mental boost and stress relief are just as big. There’s a lot of positive energy (or Axé, as we call it) in our Capoeira community classes.
Music, Culture, and Connection
Music is the heart of Capoeira. Along with moves, you’ll try your hand at the Berimbau and Pandeiro, and pick up some Portuguese lyrics. It’s not just about sweating - it’s about being part of something bigger, rooted in Afro-Brazilian martial arts for adults.

My Story
Hey, Ravi here - one of the folks behind Capoeira Academy. Been into Capoeira since I was 14, it’s basically shaped my whole life. Not just kicks and flips, it’s like a dance, a chat, a game. Our classes? Bit chaotic, super fun, always about finding your own flow. We jam on the berimbau, sing in Portuguese, and strangers turn into family in the Roda. That Axé (energy), that’s what keeps us coming back.
My Work
Capoeira classes for all ages - We teach Capoeira for kids, adults, and total beginners. Even toddlers have their own batch!
Special workshops and school programs - From handstand workshops to school curriculum, we bring Capoeira everywhere.
Movement, music, and culture - Capoeira is not just martial arts - it’s dance, acrobatics, and Brazilian music all mixed up.
Community and the Roda - Join the Roda, play instruments, sing, and share energy with the tribe. It’s real Brazilian culture.
