Capoeira is more than just kicks and cartwheels. It is a conversation fueled by rhythm, song, and the ancient sound of the Berimbau. Join us to learn the music that gives our Roda its life and energy.

You don't need anything but your body to practice Capoeira, but the music is what gives it life. Here, a student practices the Berimbau, a single-string instrument that is the heart of the Capoeira orchestra.

A student holds a Berimbau, getting ready to play. Learning the music is just as important as learning the movements, and we guide everyone, even absolute beginners.

About The Music of Capoeira

When you play a Berimbau, you are not just holding a single-string bow; you are learning to lead the entire Roda. It is the instrument that tells the game when to speed up, slow down, or intensify. We do not just teach you the notes—we teach you how to feel the rhythm and sing the traditional Portuguese songs that have kept this culture alive for centuries.
