About Capoeira Classes for Kids
What Capoeira Feels Like Here
Capoeira isn’t just kicks and flips. It’s a mix of dance, playful movement, and Brazilian culture. Kids call it "the art of play" - not a place for just fighting, but for making friends and moving wild. I see shy kids open up, loud ones learn teamwork, and everyone gets a taste of something new.
How Kids Learn With Us
- Movement & Play: Every class is packed with games and the ginga. Kids copy, laugh, and learn while moving. No boring drills.
- Acrobatics: We teach cartwheels (au), handstands, and bridges. All on soft mats. Kids get stronger and braver.
- Capoeira music and instruments for kids: They play drums, sing in Portuguese, and learn rhythm. Music is as important as movement.
- Confidence & Community: Kids grow in self-belief. We build a tribe, not just a class. Friendship happens in the roda (the Capoeira circle).
Our Teaching Style
We keep things playful. Kids learn by doing, watching, and joining in. Sometimes, we even get parents to jump in for a round. It’s all about fun.
Who’s Teaching?
Our team’s got years of Capoeira experience. I handle the Bangalore classes, Sucuri leads in Mumbai, and we’ve got others who love sharing the art. We run batches for ages 2-13 at spots in Mumbai and Bangalore.
Capoeira is our way to help kids move, make friends, and get a taste of Brazilian culture. Come see if your child finds their axé (energy) here.

My Story
Hey, Ravi here - one of the folks behind Capoeira Academy. Been into Capoeira since I was 14, it’s basically shaped my whole life. Not just kicks and flips, it’s like a dance, a chat, a game. Our classes? Bit chaotic, super fun, always about finding your own flow. We jam on the berimbau, sing in Portuguese, and strangers turn into family in the Roda. That Axé (energy), that’s what keeps us coming back.
