The Philosophy of My Yoga Practice
Yoga is much more than what you see on Instagram. At Anahata, we look at all five layers of your being to help you find real, lasting peace.
*YogashchittavRuttinirodhaH*. This foundational yoga sutra teaches us that yoga is the calming of the fluctuations of the mind. My goal as a teacher is to guide you toward this state of inner quiet, where true peace resides. This is the essence of yoga beyond the physical postures.
About The Philosophy of My Practice
Most yoga classes focus purely on the body, but my sessions at Anahata start where the physical ends. Whether you are dealing with chronic stress or just looking for a deeper connection, we use the five koshas (layers of the self) to guide your healing. We do not just stretch muscles here, we work on breath, mental blocks, and emotional awareness in a private, one-on-one setting.
Beyond the Physical
Many people walk into my studio in Gurugram thinking they need to be bendy or fit. I tell them the same thing: you do not need to be good at yoga to practice it. My philosophy centers on yogashchittavRuttinirodhaH — the restraint of the modifications of the mind. When we quiet the mental noise, the body follows.
The Anahata Approach
My teaching style is born from the heart. Anahata means infinite, unhurt. It is the door to your inner temple. In our sessions, we look at the whole person, not just a set of symptoms:
- Breath and Energy: Using Pranayama to regulate your nervous system.
- Mental Rebalancing: Using meditation and Trataka (candle gazing) for focus.
- Physical Alignment: Gentle Hatha and aerial decompression to release tension.
Why One-on-One?
I keep my sessions intimate because your healing journey is unique. Whether we are working on spinal health through aerial yoga or deep restorative rest for anxiety, you get my full focus. We do not do cookie-cutter routines. We identify your specific stress triggers or physical pain points, and then we build a practice around them.
Lokāḥ samastāḥ sukhino bhavantu — may all beings be happy. That is the goal of every session we share.
Let's find the right path for you.
