A look into the heart of my practice—where aerial therapy meets restorative healing to help you find your own unique path to well-being in the city.
This was a deeply moving experience, where I had the honor of introducing therapeutic aerial yoga to the heroes at a spinal cord rehab center. Using the hammock for support, we can make yoga accessible and healing for everyone, gently working to restore mobility and bring relief. It is a reminder that the practice meets you exactly where you are.
Let's shift our focus from external measures like weight and calories to what truly matters for a joyful life. My practice, especially with tools like the aerial hammock, is about building muscle and bone strength, promoting longevity, and analyzing our own happiness. It’s about feeling good from the inside out.
This is the goal of our practice: complete surrender and rest in Savasana. After moving and breathing together, I guide my students into a state of deep relaxation where the body can heal and the mind can find stillness. This restorative pose is essential for managing stress and integrating the benefits of our session.
My integrated yoga therapy works on all five layers of our being, known as the Pancha Koshas. This video gives you a small introduction to this holistic model, from the physical body (Annamaya Kosha) to the bliss body (Anandamaya Kosha). Understanding this helps us create a truly personalized path to healing imbalances.
Words like these fill my heart with so much gratitude. It is a privilege to guide someone through their pain and help them find relief and strength through a patient, gentle yoga practice. This is why I do what I do.
Here, my students are practicing Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, a powerful pranayama technique. This practice is wonderful for calming the nervous system, reducing anxiety, and balancing the body's energy. It is a core part of the therapeutic yoga I teach in my studio.
About Featured
Every journey here starts with a 75-minute diagnostic evaluation to actually understand what your body needs. Whether you are dealing with chronic back pain or just feeling the heavy stress of a city routine, we do not do cookie-cutter classes. I work with you one-on-one to design a plan that addresses your physical, mental, and emotional layers—not just the asanas.
My approach at Anahata is built on the belief that yoga is about the restraint of mind-stuff, not just the flexibility of your limbs. When you step into my Gurugram studio, you aren't just joining a class; you are starting a process that considers all five layers of your being, or the Pancha Koshas.
Why My Approach is Different
- Therapeutic Aerial Yoga: I pioneered Unnata-style aerial therapy in Gurugram. We use low-hanging hammocks not for circus tricks, but for spinal decompression. It is highly effective for anyone managing back pain or stiffness who needs a gravity-assisted way to align their body.
- Happiness Analysis & Counseling: Before we move, we talk. My private sessions include a diagnostic assessment where we identify your specific stress triggers and pain points. We then blend these findings with pranayama (breathwork) and restorative postures to create a sustainable recovery plan.
- Deep Restorative Work: Often, the most powerful thing we do is rest. We integrate Savasana and guided sound therapy to help your nervous system regulate, which is essential if you are struggling with anxiety or sleep issues.
Who This Is For
This space is for you if you are tired of fitness fads and want something that actually sticks. I have worked with everyone from corporate professionals needing a mental reset to spinal cord injury patients recovering mobility. You do not need to be 'good' at yoga to start. If you can breathe, you can practice. We focus on the 'Art of Undoing'—stripping away the tension you have collected so you can return to a state of ease. Whether you need a private therapeutic path or a small-group workshop, we will find the method that works for your specific life phase.
