Immerse yourself in a state of profound rest with our sound meditation workshops. Here, our facilitator Aarthi uses a collection of handcrafted Tibetan singing bowls, each with a unique frequency, to create a soundscape that calms the nervous system and allows for deep healing.
We believe in exploring all facets of movement. Our 'Gravity' workshop, led by movement coach Gagan Judge, combines principles from martial arts and acrobatics to teach you how to fly, fall, and find balance in dynamic and playful ways.
Escape the city and reset your system with our weekend yogic detox retreats. This is a glimpse into our *shatkarma* (yogic cleansing) retreat at Fireflies Ashram, where we combine deep practice with the tranquility of nature for a full mind-body cleanse.
A yoga studio is more than just a place to practice asanas. It is a space for finding alignment with help from friends, for playful exploration, and for building a supportive community, a *sangha*. We cherish the sense of belonging we create together.
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a powerful guided meditation that brings you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. This practice is one of the most effective ways to release deep-rooted stress and reprogram subconscious patterns for greater well-being.
Why should you practice yoga? We see it as a science of freedom. The practice on the mat is a metaphor for life, teaching you the skill of observing yourself through both comfort and discomfort, tempering your being like an ironsmith strengthens iron.
This is our main practice hall, Studio 1 - Manipura. We designed this space to be a sanctuary, with natural light, grounding wooden floors, and a full set of props to help you safely explore, align, and deepen your practice.

We use tools like wall ropes, bolsters, and blocks to support your unique body, ensuring you build a sustainable practice. Whether you join us for a weekend detox retreat or a meditative sound bath, we focus on the purpose behind every movement, helping you develop a framework that you can take off the mat and into your daily life.
Our Approach: Yoga as a Science of Freedom
We do not teach yoga as a performance. We view it as a tool for self-discovery. Our sessions, ranging from Hatha and aerial yoga to restorative sound baths, are designed to help you build your own yogic framework. We believe in the concept of Svastha—finding your own place of stability and health.
What You Can Experience at Our Shala
- Deep Detox & Rest: Our weekend retreats, often held in nature at venues like Fireflies Ashram, focus on shatkarma (cleansing practices). These are intense but rewarding, designed to help you hit the reset button on your physical and mental state.
- Movement & Strength: If you want to explore the edges of your capability, our workshops combine yoga with martial arts and acrobatics. We look at gravity not as a barrier, but as a teacher.
- Sound & Stillness: Our sound healing and Yoga Nidra sessions are entirely passive. We use Tibetan singing bowls and guided visualizations to move you into the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing for deep, restorative rest.
Finding Your Sangha
We believe that transformation happens best in a community. Our JP Nagar studio is a sanctuary for practice, but also a space for connection. On the first Saturday of every month, we host community events where we set aside the mats to just laugh, talk, and get to know the people we practice alongside. Whether you are here for a single workshop or long-term training, you are part of this energy.
Amrutha Bindu Yoga
We are Medha and Sandeep. Our paths led us from engineering and martial arts to deep yoga study, and we opened this studio to share the transformative potential of consistent practice. We don't teach just to instruct; we teach to help you find your own internal balance.
