Meet the Founders of Amrutha Bindu Yoga
Get to know Medha and Sandipani, the teachers behind our practice, and the philosophy that shapes every class at our JP Nagar shala.
Meet Medha Bhaskar, our co-founder. With a Master's degree in Yoga, she is passionate about helping students build a personal yogic framework that fosters productivity, compassion, and social responsiveness.
Meet Sandipani S Manur, our co-founder and Director of Academics. A yoga teacher, life coach, and martial artist, he uses classical yogic practices to help students work through physical and emotional obstacles toward spiritual well-being.
About Meet Our Founders
Medha and Sandipani don't just instruct; they guide students through a framework designed to make yoga a tool for everyday life. Whether it is Sandipani’s blend of martial arts and somatic therapy or Medha’s focus on social responsiveness, both founders emphasize that the mat is a starting point, not the destination. They are available at the JP Nagar studio for consultations if you are looking for a path that integrates physical practice with deeper mental clarity.
Amrutha Bindu Yoga is more than a studio—it is a space founded on the belief that yoga is a science of freedom. Medha Bhaskar and Sandipani S Manur bring two distinct, complementary streams of knowledge to our shala.
Medha, with her MSc in Yoga, bridges the gap between classical Vedic philosophy and modern demands, focusing on helping students achieve svastha—that state of being truly established in oneself. Her classes are experiential, designed to foster productivity and compassion in equal measure.
Sandipani’s approach is influenced by his background in engineering, psychology, and extensive study of Eastern traditions like Vajrayana Buddhism and Zen. He specializes in somatic work, helping students navigate the physical and emotional tension stored in the body. With over 25 years of practice, he focuses on clearing obstacles on the mental, emotional, and physical planes.
We built this sanctuary in JP Nagar to create a sangha, or community. Our work is not about perfect postures; it is about what happens off the mat. From teacher training programs that focus on anatomy and practical teaching skills to workshops on Thai bodywork and advanced alignment, our goal is to help you build your own yogic framework. If you are tired of performance-based yoga and want a practice that is grounded in science and tradition, we invite you to start a conversation with us.
Amrutha Bindu Yoga
We are Medha and Sandipani. We started Amrutha Bindu Yoga because we believe practice should be real, messy, and transformative, not just performative. Join us in JP Nagar to explore how traditional yoga can actually help you navigate the chaos of city life.
