About Yoga Teacher Training & Certifications
What Drives Us
Yoga is way more than just poses for me. It’s a journey—sometimes tough, sometimes freeing—that helps you figure yourself out, both on and off the mat. My teacher training isn’t just about getting a certificate; it’s about finding that svastha (balance) and seeing how ancient wisdom fits into modern life.
Training Paths
- 200-Hour Foundational Training: For anyone ready to get serious, whether you want to teach or just go deep in your own practice. I welcome dancers, theatre folks, martial artists, or anyone curious.
- 300-Hour Advanced Training: If you’ve done the basics, this is where you step up and refine your skills—think advanced poses, breathing, and those meditations that go deeper than just sitting still.
- Specialized Certifications: From Yoga Nidra certification (learn how to guide yogic sleep for deep rest) to prenatal yoga teacher training, these are focused paths taught by senior teachers.
What You’ll Actually Learn
- Asana: 54 main poses, but it’s not just about how it looks. It’s about how it feels.
- Anatomy & Alignment: Skeleton models and hands-on fixes for real bodies, not textbook ones.
- Pranayama & Meditation: Six breathing ways, three kinds of meditation.
- Philosophy: Ancient texts, but I keep it practical so it fits into your daily life.
- Teaching Methodology: Over 50 hours just on how to teach—sequence, cue, and adapt for whoever’s in your class.
The Experience
I mix traditional yoga with movement science. You learn at your own pace. We stick together even after the program—community, mentorship, and career advice are always here.
How We Roll
Life’s busy, so I offer hybrid yoga teacher training—online or at my JP Nagar studio, flexible schedules, and even a weekend retreat for group practice and cleansing (Shatkarma). If you want to go deep, this is where you start.

My Story
Namaste, we’re Medha and Sandeep, founders of Amrutha Bindu Yoga. Our journeys? One from engineering and martial arts, other from deep yoga study. Both landed here, believing yoga is real transformation, not just poses. We see how practice changes lives, spreading good energy. For us, yoga’s about freedom, not perfection. We built this shala so folks can explore, learn, and grow together. Start with curiosity, leave with connection.
My Work
Yoga Classes & Trainings - Group and personal sessions, teacher trainings (YTT 200/300), plus special workshops and retreats.
Specialized Yoga Services - Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Nidra for stress relief, Aerial Yoga classes, Thai Bodywork therapy, and therapeutic yoga.
Our Teaching Style - We don’t do yoga as performance. We help you build your own yogic framework and focus on the ‘why’.
Balance, Not Just Flexibility - Yoga here means equal strength and flexibility, balancing body, mind, emotions for a peaceful state.
Community & Practice - We’re a community—celebrating, practicing, even playing together. Ivattina dina tumba vishesha (today is special).
