Community Yoga Events & Sangha Gatherings in JP Nagar
Yoga practice is often a solitary journey, but the support of a community makes it sustainable. Discover how we connect, grow, and play together at our studio.
Sometimes yoga looks like a room full of people laughing. We hit pause on asana for a round of Yoga Pictionary, where the goal wasn't perfect sketches but connection, creativity, and seeing yoga in a whole new light.
Our first-ever Mafia night was full of chaos, deception, and a whole lot of fun. These free community events, held on the first Saturday of the month, are all about coming together to play and connect off the mat.
The energy was incredible during our Ratha Saptami Sadhana, where we completed 108 Surya Namaskaras together. Listen to our students, some of whom are speaking in Kannada, share their powerful and emotional experiences.
We were so excited to host the book launch for "My India" by Yogini, Poet, and Writer Sowmya Ayyar. Our shala loves to be a space where art, philosophy, and community come together.
Yoga is about small, daily actions. This September, we created a community challenge to take the stairs instead of the lift, a simple pledge to improve our health and contribute to the planet's well-being.
Our community pledge board for the September stairs challenge. It's inspiring to see everyone sign up and commit to a collective goal, proving that small, shared efforts can create a big impact.
About Our Sangha: Community & Events
You'll find us laughing as much as we practice. On the first Saturday of every month, we host our 'Sangha' events—everything from Yoga Pictionary and Mafia nights to intimate book readings. It is our way of proving that yoga isn't just about poses on a mat, but the genuine connection we build with each other right here in JP Nagar.
Why We Build Sangha
In our view, yoga is the science of freedom, but that freedom is often found in shared space. We believe that when you work on yourself, you are not just working for yourself, but for the community. This is why we created the 'Sangha'—a deliberate space to step off the mat, drop the performance, and just be human.
Life Off the Mat
Our community events are designed to be a reset button for the mind and a way to build lasting friendships. Whether it is a round of Yoga Pictionary where we sketch poses with messy markers, or our monthly Mafia nights that bring out the competitive—and playful—side of our students, the goal is always connection. We believe that if you can't laugh while you learn, you might be taking life a little too seriously.
Shared Sadhana
Sometimes, our community gatherings are deep and intense, like our Ratha Saptami Sadhana. Seeing students encourage each other to complete 108 Surya Namaskaras is a powerful reminder of how collective energy creates something greater than the sum of its parts. It is not about reaching a target or holding a perfect pose; it is about the mutual support that gets you through that 80th or 100th cycle.
Small Actions, Big Impact
Our community ethos extends into our daily lives, too. Whether it is a collective challenge to take the stairs instead of the lift or hosting a book launch for local writers, we look for tangible ways to make sustainability and consciousness part of our daily rhythm.
If you are looking for a space in Bangalore that offers more than just a workout, you are welcome here. Join us on the first Saturday of the month—no mat required.
