Yoga Community: Energy & Support
Yoga is better when you have a tribe to practice with. At Agastya Yoga, our sessions are built on encouragement, shared goals, and the simple belief that every age is the right age to start.
Students practice a synchronized flow, moving together from standing poses to seated splits.
A group class works on Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian Pose), a low lunge that opens the hips.
Two students practice Hanumanasana (the splits) side-by-side, motivating each other.
Celebrating a student's achievement of completing 650 Surya Namaskars with the whole class.
The class has fun with a "reverse walk" exercise, building coordination and strength.
The men's class works on a challenging squat and crawl sequence, building strength and stamina together.
Celebrating another student's incredible achievement of 621 Surya Namaskars.
Two students practice a synchronized lunge and twist, mirroring each other's movements.
Two students practice inversions together, one in a headstand and the other on wall ropes.
A fun moment from class, practicing a squatting twist together.
About Our Community: Energy & Support
It is not about perfecting every pose on day one. Here, you will find people in their 60s working alongside 20-year-olds, with everyone cheering for each other's small wins, whether it is hitting a new backbend or finishing a long-awaited 108 Surya Namaskar challenge.
Our studio in Sector 23, Gurugram, is less about silent, lonely practice and more about growing together. Whether you are a complete beginner or an expert, the community vibe here removes the ego from the mat. We believe that everyone has a 'Sikandar' inside them, and sometimes you need the energy of the person next to you to help you find it.
We practice together, but we also celebrate together. You will see us doing partner yoga, playing fun games that build coordination, or organizing group challenges where we track our collective progress. When you see a student finish 650 Surya Namaskars, the applause is genuine.
We keep things light with plenty of 'shabash' and 'bahut badhiya' because we know that discipline is hard and requires support. If you are struggling with a pose, someone is usually there to offer a hand or a laugh to break the tension. We use props like wall ropes, chairs, and aerial silks not just for safety, but to make sure everyone, regardless of age or physical limitation, can participate in the flow.
At the end of every session, we share Savasana, and the collective 'shanti' in the room is something you take home with you. If you have been looking for a space where you can be yourself, struggle without judgment, and improve with friends, come visit us. We are not just a studio; we are a family.
