About Yoga Flows & Drills
You will often see us using bamboo sticks in our studio sessions. These are not just for support, they are essential tools for building core engagement and mastering alignment in your poses. Whether we are practicing boat pose variations or specific stretching drills, that stick helps you find the correct posture, keeps your spine active, and teaches your body where it needs to be.
Our practice at Agastya Yoga is grounded in the idea of feeling good in your own body. We blend traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flows on the mat with modern techniques to make yoga accessible for everyone, whether you are 20 or 80. It is not about performing the hardest posture, but about consistent, daily practice, or what we call 'abhyas,' that transforms how you feel.
We focus heavily on therapeutic movements. If you struggle with stiffness or back pain, our guided spinal twists and stretches are designed to provide relief. We do not just rely on body weight. We use props like wall ropes (Kurunta), bamboo sticks, and blocks to deepen your stretches. These tools allow you to enter poses safely, helping you find your alignment even if you are just starting your fitness journey.
Every session aims for a balance of strength and flexibility. You will find us moving from dynamic warm-ups into specific mobility drills and concluding with calming meditation. We keep the environment non-judgmental and supportive, focusing on small wins. If you are looking for flexibility drills, back pain relief, or simply a safe space to explore yoga sequences, you will find it here in our Sector 23 studio. We prioritize safety and personal guidance over showy demonstrations, ensuring that everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners gets the support they need to grow.
