About Mat Yoga: Flow & Foundation
Whether you are brand new or a seasoned practitioner, you do not need to fit a specific mold to join us. We encourage using props like cork blocks and bolsters to support your alignment, so you can focus on the breath and movement rather than struggling to mimic the person on the next mat.
At Aayana, our mat-based classes are built on the philosophy that your practice should serve your life, not the other way around. Whether you are stepping onto a mat for the first time or looking to refine your technique, our sessions in Jayanagar focus on sustainability over spectacle.
We offer both Hatha and Vinyasa styles to cater to your needs:
- Hatha: We slow it down, focusing on foundational alignment and breath awareness. It is perfect for building stability and understanding your body’s unique mechanics.
- Vinyasa Flow: We link breath to movement. It is dynamic and helps build heat, flexibility, and a steady rhythm that carries you through the week.
Our studio is fully equipped with cork blocks, straps, and bolsters. We encourage you to use them, not because you cannot reach the floor, but because they help you open up safely and find your proper alignment. We keep our space welcoming, with wooden laminate floors and plenty of natural light, making it a comfortable home for your daily flow.
If you are feeling stiff or think you are not flexible enough for yoga, that is exactly why you should start here. Our teachers emphasize the Aayana Family vibe, where the goal is not to look like a pro, but to feel a little more connected and light by the time you roll up your mat.
