Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Classes in Mumbai
My Hatha and Vinyasa flows aren't about chasing perfection. Whether you are looking to build heat, release stress, or find your balance, we will move with intention.
A demonstration of the foundational Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) sequence in an outdoor setting. This is a perfect example of a Vinyasa flow, linking poses like Mountain Pose, Forward Fold, and Downward Dog with the breath.
This is a dynamic flow into Pigeon Pose, starting from Downward-Facing Dog. This sequence is excellent for warming up the body and preparing the hips for deeper stretches, typical of a Vinyasa or Power yoga class.
A short, fluid sequence that moves through several poses including a twist and a hip opener. This demonstrates how I combine different asanas in a Vinyasa class to create a holistic practice that addresses the whole body.
This clip shows a flow through standing poses like Triangle and Extended Side Angle, moving into a deep lunge. This is a great example of how we build heat and flexibility in the lower body during a Hatha or Vinyasa session.
Here I am demonstrating Twisted Malasana, or Garland Pose with a twist. This is a fantastic detoxifying pose that opens the hips and groin while improving spinal mobility and aiding digestion.
This video shows a rolling spinal stretch, a gentle yet effective way to massage the back and release tension along the spine. It's a preparatory or cool-down pose I often use in my Hatha classes.
A demonstration of various stretches using the yoga wheel, including a low lunge and a split variation. The wheel is a modern prop that can help deepen stretches and add a new dimension to a traditional Hatha practice.
This video shows a deep forward bend, stretching the hamstrings and releasing the lower back. This is a fundamental pose in Hatha yoga that encourages introspection and surrender.
A demonstration of Camel Pose (Ustrasana), a deep backbend performed from a kneeling position. This pose is a powerful heart opener that stretches the entire front of the body and builds strength in the back.
This is a complex seated twisting and binding sequence that challenges hip flexibility and core control. It's an example of how we can progress in Hatha yoga from simple poses to more intricate asanas.
About Hatha & Vinyasa Flows
Whether you are in Juhu, Bandra, or tuning in from abroad, my classes prioritize alignment over just hitting a pose. I bring the props, from cork blocks to yoga wheels, to help you feel steady in your practice, not just flexible. It is about how you feel in the shape, not how it looks for the camera.
The Flow Philosophy
In my sessions, Hatha meets Vinyasa. We start by building a foundation—alignment is non-negotiable—then flow into sequences that generate heat and release tension. If you are looking for a work-in rather than just a sweat session, this is it. We will use the breath to bridge the gap between mental noise and physical presence.
What Happens on the Mat
- Strength & Heat: Through Vinyasa flows, we build stamina. Expect transitions that challenge your core and balance, like shifting into a deep lunge or testing your stability in a tree pose variation.
- Restoration & Alignment: Hatha elements ensure we do not rush. We will hold poses to truly open up the hips or hamstrings, using blocks and straps to ensure your spine stays safe while we go deeper.
- Personalization: Whether we are in your living room in Bandra or connecting via Zoom, I adapt the sequence to your energy levels. If you are stiff from sitting at a desk all day, we focus on spinal mobility. If you are anxious, we pivot to longer holds and deeper breathwork.
Is this for you?
You do not need to touch your toes to start. You just need to show up. Whether you are a complete beginner or a practitioner looking to refine your form, my goal is to make these movements accessible. We work with what you have today, and we build from there. No ego, just practice.
