This is our Tratak Kriya, or candle gazing meditation session. This powerful yogic cleansing practice helps improve concentration, relieve mental stress, and calm the mind.

About Meditation & Mindful Practices

We do not just sit and close our eyes. In our Tratak sessions, we use a controlled, dim-light environment to practice candle-gazing. This is a specific yogic cleansing technique designed to reduce screen-time fatigue, calm racing thoughts, and train your mind to focus on one point, effectively cutting through the daily mental noise.

Tratak Kriya is one of the six Shatkarmas (cleansing practices) in Hatha Yoga, and we teach it properly at our Rajouri Garden studio. When you stare at the flame without blinking, you are not just meditating; you are flushing out ocular fatigue and sharpening your concentration.

Many students come to me stressed, dealing with high-pressure jobs or the fast pace of Delhi life. They often find it difficult to sit still for even 10 minutes. That is why I guide them through this practice first. It bridges the gap between a scattered mind and true Dhyana (meditation).

Beyond Tratak, our mindful practices include Chakra balancing and focused breathwork. These sessions are specifically designed to tackle common issues like insomnia, negative thought loops, and constant anxiety. We keep the groups manageable in our F-88 and Block-V studios so you get the calm environment you need to actually switch off. Whether you are a beginner looking to find stillness or a regular practitioner wanting to deepen your concentration, we have a space for you on the mat.
