About Yin & Restorative Yoga: Deep Release & Stillness

In my Yin and Restorative classes, we use bolsters, blocks, and straps not to assist in getting into a perfect pose, but to allow your muscles to completely let go. When you do not have to hold your own weight, the deep connective tissues, the fascia, can finally start to release long-held tension. It is a slow, quiet work that feels less like exercise and more like deep relief.
