Restorative & Yin Yoga Classes in Hauz Khas
Slow down and release deep-seated tension with our supported sessions. We use props to help you let go, calm your nervous system, and find a sense of true stillness.
My Yin Yoga classes are a journey into deep connective tissues. We hold poses like this supported Sphinx pose for longer periods to connect mind, body, and breath.
Reaching your edge within the pose during a Yin yoga class. This deep, slow stretching helps improve mobility and flexibility.
Take time this weekend to relax and repeat your affirmation. A gentle legs-up-the-wall practice is perfect for calming the nervous system.
Slow down and savor the here and now. Using a bolster for support in this gentle flow helps to welcome the weekend with a smile.
An easy sequence to release stress from your hips. We hold poses like Malasana (squat) and Swan Pose to let go of stored tension.
The pose of the week is Balasana (Child's Pose). It is my favorite pose for relaxing the mind and body and gently stretching the spine.
About Restorative & Yin Yoga: Relax and Recharge
In these sessions, we use bolsters, blocks, and straps not just for comfort, but to allow your body to fully relax into each pose for longer periods. This deep, passive stretching targets connective tissues, helping you release stored stress from your hips and spine without feeling like you are working through a high-intensity workout. It is about stillness, not strain.
Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that targets the deep connective tissues rather than muscles. By holding poses like the Sphinx or Swan for several minutes, we create the space needed to release physical tightness and quiet the mind.
Restorative yoga takes this a step further. We arrange prop stations—using bolsters, heavy metal backless chairs, and straps—to fully support your skeletal system. This allows your nervous system to switch from a stressed state to one of rest and digest, which is essential for true recovery.
Whether you are joining our in-studio sessions at my Hauz Khas space or practicing live online, the focus remains the same. You do not need to be flexible to start. If you are recovering from a stiff back after long desk hours or just need a mental break, this slow-paced approach meets you exactly where you are. We prioritize comfort, safety, and individual adjustments to ensure your practice remains nourishing.
