Mindful Farm Stays in the Himalayas: A Real Escape
Trade the city noise for the quiet of my family's apple orchards. These stays are an invitation to live slow, breathe crisp mountain air, and reconnect with yourself in the heart of the Himalayas.
The mesmerizing view from the balcony of our farm stay. Every room opens up to the mountains, ensuring that you are always surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Himalayas.
There is truly nothing like home, especially when home is a farm in the mountains. This is my sanctuary, a place of peace and grounding that I love to share with others.
This is what my daily cardio looks like when living on the farm. A walk through the apple orchards with these views makes getting my steps in feel effortless and joyful.
The sweetest, juiciest apricots, which we call Sahiba locally, plucked fresh from the tree. This is the simple pleasure of farm life, eating organic, pesticide-free fruit right after my morning practice.
Impromptu camping plans are my favorite. We found a beautiful spot, built a fire to cook macaroni, and spent the day soaking in the sun and the endless mountain sky.
Feeling playful and completely at home in my farm girl element. Life here is about being connected to the earth, wearing gumboots, and not being afraid to get a little muddy.
A rainy evening calls for a fresh cup of mint tea. I love going out to my garden to pluck huge, fragrant mint leaves, a simple act that feels so nourishing and mindful.
Spending time in nature, enjoying fresh fruits with friends. Our farm stays are about sharing simple, joyful moments like a picnic amidst the green hills.
A happy moment at my mountain home. The traditional wooden interiors and the feeling of being nestled in the hills create a sense of unparalleled peace and contentment.
Life on the farm has been so fulfilling lately. From foggy mornings to picking fresh produce from the garden, every moment is a reminder of the beauty of slow, simple living.
About Mindful Farm Stays in the Himalayas
Don't expect room service or hotel-style luxury here. These farm stays are rooted in the reality of Himalayan village life. You will be staying in traditional wood-paneled rooms at our family property, eating simple, home-cooked food made from seasonal orchard ingredients, and waking up to the actual, unedited sounds of the forest and mountains.
My farm stays, located near Shimla and Kotkhai, are not meant to be standard tourist getaways. This is my home, and I open it to 4-6 people at a time who are genuinely looking to unplug.
The Experience
Whether you choose the 3-night, 4-day wellness retreat or the flexible Apple Orchard Stay, the rhythm is the same: slow. You spend your days walking through our orchards, learning about the local Sahiba apricots, or simply watching the clouds roll over the valley from the balcony.
What to Expect
- Digital Detox: Expect spotty network. This is by design, giving you the space to breathe.
- Food: We eat what is available. Expect fresh, Sattvic, or local Pahadi meals, often cooked on wood-fire.
- Accommodation: These are family-run setups. It is comfortable and clean, but humble. It is real wood, mountain views, and quiet nights.
Why Choose This
If you are looking for a place to hide from the screen, heal from burnout, or just understand what it feels like to live in harmony with the seasons, you will find it here. I host these because I believe nature is the best healer, and my only goal is to share that peace with you.
