Wellness Retreats for Healing and Reconnection
I take my yoga practice beyond the studio, hosting retreats in quiet Himalayan settings where we combine nature, sound healing, and movement. It is a chance to pause and recalibrate your energy away from the city rush.
A glimpse from my Dehradun Yoga Retreat. We combined mantra meditation with live Sufi music, allowing the vibrations to bring balance and peace to the mind and body in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Conducting a sound healing session in the hills as dusk settles. The natural tranquility of the environment enhances the magical experience, helping to release negativity and align the chakras.
Meditating by the flowing river at Phool Chatti Ashram. The sound of the water and the stillness of nature provide the perfect backdrop for finding inner peace and connecting with the self.
A moment of quiet contemplation by the water. Connecting with the elements is a core part of my retreats, helping to ground our energy and deepen our meditation practice.
About Wellness Retreats
When we move out of the city and into the hills, our practice shifts. I design these retreats to be gentle, not a fitness boot camp, because you are here to heal. We balance structured pranayama sessions by the river with long, slow evenings of sound healing. The pace is designed so you can actually hear your own thoughts again.
Why I take practice to the mountains
Nature does half the work. Being in Rishikesh or the Himalayan foothills helps us disconnect from the digital noise and the constant notifications. When you are surrounded by mountains, it becomes easier to tune into your own vibrations.
My approach to retreats
I do not believe in strict, rigid schedules. I combine the practice of Sivananda yoga with sound healing using Tibetan bowls. You will find that the sound of the river blends with the bowl vibrations, helping you drop into a state of deep relaxation much faster than you would in a city studio.
What to expect
We keep groups small. This allows me to guide you individually, whether you are struggling with a specific posture or just need to clear your mind. These sessions are not about being perfect on the mat. They are about being present, breathing properly, and letting go.
Practical details
- Setting: We choose serene, natural locations like ashrams or quiet villas near the river.
- Style: A mix of Hatha and Sivananda flows, combined with mantra meditation and sound baths.
- Outcome: Most people leave feeling lighter, with better sleep patterns and a quieter mind. It is a reset button for your nervous system.
If you have been feeling stuck or just need a change of scenery to get your practice back on track, come join us.
Meher Munjal
I’m Meher, and I created these retreats because sometimes, a one-hour class just isn't enough to unplug. Whether we are in the foothills of the Himalayas or by a river in Dehradun, I focus on creating a safe space for you to heal and breathe. Let’s head to the hills and find that peace together.
