About this collection

We believe yoga is a lived experience, not just a physical workout. When you see our students performing on stage or gathering for a Dhanvantari Homa, you are seeing the result of disciplined, consistent practice. It is not about perfect poses but about cultivating shared discipline, devotion, and a deeper understanding of the yogic path together.

At Yogavijnana, our events are extensions of our classroom learning. Whether it is our anniversary celebrations, where students present yogasana demonstrations themed on the Bhagavatam, or sacred rituals like the Rudraabhishekham, each event serves a purpose in our collective growth. We structure these gatherings to foster a sense of 'Sangha' (community), which is essential for any serious practitioner.

Why Community Matters in Yoga

Consistency is the hardest part of yoga. By coming together for special events, festivals, and workshops—like our International Yoga Day protocols or the Yoga Mitra Mela—we keep each other accountable. It turns yoga from a solitary struggle into a shared journey. When you participate in our events, you are not just watching; you are connecting with a group that values the traditional, scientific application of Hatha Yoga.

Our Approach to Events

  • Student Demonstrations: These are not showcases of ego but tests of focus and alignment. They prove that consistent, prop-based Hatha Yoga practice builds strength and stability.
  • Spiritual Rituals: Ceremonies like the Dhanvantari Homa or Rudraabhishekham are held to integrate traditional Vedic practices into our modern lives, aligning our space and our minds.
  • Knowledge Sharing: We host talks on topics like the 'forgotten pillars' of yoga (Yamas and Niyamas) to ensure our community understands the philosophy behind the asanas.

We encourage you to visit our studio in Chandra Layout to see how we blend these traditional roots with modern biomechanics.
