About Yoga Classes & Therapy
How I Teach Yoga
I’m all about mixing ancient yoga wisdom with modern science. My background in engineering (IIT) and over 15 years in yoga make me look at each practice logically and safely. At Yogavijnana, we see yoga as way more than just asanas - it’s about bringing stability to your mind, body, and life.
Getting Started
Every new student begins with our foundation yoga workshop. That’s where I break down the basics - yoga philosophy, body mechanics, and how breath ties it all together. I don’t rush anyone into advanced stuff. Instead, I make sure you build a solid base so group classes feel natural.
What Happens in Class
- Holistic sessions blend asanas, pranayama, and a dash of meditation
- I’m obsessed with alignment - it keeps you safe and unlocks real benefits
- We use props like belts, blocks, and even a yoga kurunta (rope wall!) to make poses accessible and deepen your stretch
- Both online and in-person options available
Yoga Therapy - Personalised Wellness
If you’re dealing with back pain, PCOS, or want yoga therapy for back pain, I create plans that fit your body and life. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all fitness gig. I work on the real root causes, whether it’s pain, hormonal imbalance, or emotional stress.
Yoga for Kids
Our children’s yoga classes (ages 7-12) are playful and interactive, led by Smt. Vanitha Sunil. Kids get stories, games, and gentle yoga to build self-awareness and creativity.
Why Meditation Isn’t a Shortcut
Meditation is a state you reach, not something you instantly do. I guide you through the right steps - stability, breath, focus - so your mind is actually ready for it.
Yoga alli abhyasa mukhya (practice is key in yoga). Group practice gives you discipline and motivation, and learning with a guru helps you catch the subtle stuff that books can’t teach.

My Story
Started off as an IIT engineer, but somehow yoga pulled me in. Did my MTech at IIT Hyderabad, dived into Heritage Science, mixed tech with yoga. But honestly, the real engineering? It’s inside. That’s why Yogavijnana exists – it’s not just asanas, it’s exploring the science within. My Prasanna Vadanam (radiant face) workshop came from seeing folks hold tension in their faces. For me, my own practice rules my schedule, not the other way. Even 10 minutes daily can flip your world.
My Work
Classes, Therapy, Teacher Training, and Workshops - Group classes, Yoga Therapy, Teacher Training, Corporate Yoga, and unique sessions like Prasanna Vadanam workshop and Yoga Kurunta ropes class.
Yoga as Explorative Science - We go deep – Awakening yoga series lets us unravel a single practice for hours, not just perform asanas.
Learning with a Teacher Matters - Yoga’s best learned in-person, but online works too if you’re disciplined. Breathwork like Pranayama needs guidance.
For Serious Yoga Students - If you’re after Samadhi, not just a sweat, and have six months experience, our workshops are for you.
