Guided Meditation for Inner Calm in Vikaspuri
In the rush of Delhi, finding a moment to pause feels like a luxury. Here, we do not just relax—we learn to quiet the mind through breath and presence, right here in my Vikaspuri studio.
A typical session in my studio involves gentle guidance into a state of meditation, followed by deep relaxation in Savasana, or corpse pose. This is where the body and mind integrate the benefits of the practice, allowing you to emerge feeling refreshed, centered, and calm.
Here, my students are practicing Bhramari, the humming bee breath. This simple pranayama technique is incredibly effective at calming the mind, relieving frustration, and preparing for meditation. As Buddha said, "Appo deepo bhava" or "Be a light unto yourself," and this practice helps you find that light within.
The final and most important part of any yoga practice is Savasana, or the corpse pose. It might look like just lying down, but it is a conscious state of deep relaxation that helps reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and calm the entire nervous system.
About Guided Meditation for Inner Calm
If you struggle with anxiety or simply cannot quiet your brain at night, this is where we begin. We do not fight your thoughts here. Instead, we use Anapana breath observation and 7-metal Tibetan singing bowls to physically help your nervous system let go of daily tension. You will find that when your breath becomes calm, your mind follows suit.
Meditation is often misunderstood as an escape, but here in my Vikaspuri studio, we treat it as a 'work-in.' It is about facing what is inside and letting it settle. Whether you are a total beginner or a professional dealing with high-stress deadlines, the tools we use are universal and effective.
We start with Anapana, the practice of observing your natural breath. It sounds simple, but it is the most effective way to anchor a wandering mind. For those dealing with specific issues like insomnia or chronic anxiety, we integrate guided mindfulness and vibrational therapy using 7-metal Tibetan singing bowls. These sessions are designed to help lower blood pressure and clear the mental fog that accumulates throughout the day.
You will also learn Pranayama techniques like Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, and Bhastrika. These are not just exercises, they are methods to balance your internal energy and improve your lung health. Each session ends with Savasana, a conscious state of relaxation that integrates the benefits of the entire practice. If you are ready to stop running from your stress and start aligning your mind and body, come join us for a session.
