About Surya Kriya & Surya Shakti: Sun-Powered Yoga
These workshops are not casual drop-in classes. We spend 3 to 4 days together—around 12 hours total—focusing strictly on the biomechanics of the practice. My goal is to get you to a point where you can practice Surya Kriya or Surya Shakti perfectly on your own, without relying on me or a video. We do hands-on corrections because doing it right is the only way to get the real benefits, whether you are seeking hormonal balance or simply a deeper level of physical vitality.
What is the difference?
People often ask me whether to choose Surya Kriya or Surya Shakti. It comes down to your intent:
- Surya Kriya: This is a subtle, spiritual process. It is designed to balance your energy system, stabilize your hormones, and bring a sense of ease to your life. If you are dealing with irregular cycles, PCOD, or just feel scattered, this is the foundation I recommend starting with.
- Surya Shakti: This is a more intense, physically demanding practice. It is about building strength, fitness, and vitality. It uses the same sun-powered principle but pushes your body harder.
The Workshop Format
I run these as intensive modules rather than weekly drop-in classes. Learning these practices requires attention to detail. You need to know how to hold the posture, how to breathe, and how to transition. By the end of the 12 hours, you will have the tools to practice at home.
I also provide a complimentary practice correction session after the workshop. This ensures that even after you start practicing on your own, you can come back, check your form, and fix any slips.
Where and How
We practice in a dedicated, sound-insulated studio in CBD Belapur. The environment is quiet and prepared for serious Sadhana. You do not need to be a pro or even particularly fit to join. You just need the willingness to learn. Whether you are 14 or 60, if you are ready to put in the hours, you are ready to learn.
