My Personal Yoga Journey & Practice
Yoga is more than just a workout for me; it is a way of living. Here is a glimpse into the practice, the family moments, and the path that shapes how I teach and connect with my students.
A precious moment with my mother at the Phool Chatti Ashram in Rishikesh. This place is pure tranquility. My own yoga and meditation practice, especially in such serene surroundings, deeply influences the peaceful energy I share in my classes.
The best yoga retreats are the ones that strengthen your soul. This moment in Rishikesh reminds me that yoga is for everyone, connecting us to ourselves and the beautiful world around us.
With my little one. My journey as a mother and a yogi are intertwined. I believe that understanding ourselves and our own energy is the first step to guiding our children with love and patience.
About My Yoga Journey
I believe that the best teachers are also perpetual students. My time training in Rishikesh and my daily practice with my family have taught me that yoga starts with how we treat ourselves, not just how flexible we are. Whether you are looking for a peaceful sound bath or a dynamic flow, I bring these same grounding principles into every class at my Panchsheel Park studio.
My path to becoming a yoga teacher wasn't a straight line. After training at Sivananda and learning sound healing in the serenity of Rishikesh, I took a detour to Melbourne. But I realised that my heart was in teaching, and I couldn't stay away from the mat. Now, I am back in Delhi, teaching from my studio in Panchsheel Park with my dogs, Leo and Lyraa, usually nearby.
Why Practice Matters
I don't teach cookie-cutter yoga. I see so many students come in stressed, disconnected, or just overwhelmed by city life. My own practice, especially the moments I share with my family or time spent in the hills, reminds me that yoga is for everyone. It is about emotional regulation, managing anxiety, and finding a moment of quiet in a loud world.
My Approach to Teaching
- Sound Healing & Chakras: I incorporate Tibetan singing bowls to help unblock energy centers. It is effective for anyone struggling with sleep or high stress levels.
- Personalised Flows: Whether it is Hatha, Ashtanga, or Vinyasa, we start by talking about your goals. We align the movement to your body and your time, not the other way around.
- Mindfulness: It is not just about the asanas. I integrate breathwork and meditation into every session, helping you build a practice that supports you long after you leave the studio.
If you are looking for a space to breathe, move, and reconnect, I am here. We keep the batches small and the energy high, so you get the attention you need to grow.
