My Path to Yoga: A Journey of Healing and Purpose
Yoga didn't start for me on a mat; it started with a need to heal. Here is a glimpse into the practice, the teachers, and the personal discipline that shapes my teaching today.
A reintroduction. I am a student and practitioner of yoga, and also a teacher. I came to this practice to heal myself, and in doing so, I found my purpose in sharing its timeless gifts with others.
Teaching gives me purpose and peace. This video reflects on my journey from a corporate career to finding my calling, starting right here on my terrace where I taught my very first class.
A week after returning from a month of dedicated sadhana, or practice. The journey of transformation is subtle, and I am still exploring the shifts in my mind and body. I feel energized, motivated, and deeply inspired.
For my graduation day from advanced teacher training, I chose to wear yellow, the color of knowledge, the Guru, and light. Here I am arranging flowers, a small act of devotion and gratitude.
A moment of reflection in the garden after my graduation. I am still reverberating in the pure energy of the Dhama, the beautiful space that was my home for a month.
Swadhyaya, the process of studying the self. This journey is non linear and takes you into the shadow parts of your character. But if we continue the work, the lessons become shorter and the transformation is profound.
One full moon since my sadhana. This spiritual quest is not easy, but surrendering to the process always leads to light. This reel reminds me how sacred the experience of discipline, focus, and surrender was.
About this collection
This gallery isn't just about poses; it reflects the sadhana, or personal practice, that helped me transition from a fast-paced corporate life to finding my true purpose. Every image here—from moments of devotion at the Mahakumbh to the quiet discipline of my morning practice—is a building block for how I teach. If you are feeling misaligned in your own life or just curious about how yoga can change your perspective, let’s talk about how we can start your own sustainable practice.
My journey with yoga is deeply personal. For years, I chased conventional ambitions in the corporate world before realizing that the stillness I was craving wasn't in an office, but within myself. My sadhana is the continuous, non-linear process of returning to that truth. This cluster showcases those raw moments of practice—the discipline, the travels to sources of knowledge like Mysore, and the spiritual study that informs every class I lead in Gurgaon.
When you join my classes or workshops, you aren't just learning asanas. You are learning a framework for living. My teaching style is grounded in the Vedanta philosophy and the traditional rituals I grew up with, but made accessible for the modern seeker. Whether it is an arm balance workshop or a simple breathwork session, the goal is always the same: to move from darkness to light.
I believe that a sustainable yoga practice should honour your body, not break it. I don't preach; I share what I have learned through my own trials and my time with incredible teachers like Eddie Stern. We focus on alignment, breath, and clear intention. If you are looking for a space where you can be honest about where you are in your journey, you are welcome here. We don't just move; we connect, chant, and contemplate, creating a small sangha where everyone supports each other's growth. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear from you.
