About Technique & Pad Work
Before you ever step into our ring for live sparring, we focus on the grind. At our Asmita Club and Ghatkopar studios, you will spend your sessions on the focus mitts with coaches correcting your stance and hip rotation. We don't just want you to throw punches; we want you to throw them with intention and balance. You need your own hand wraps and boxing gloves to get started, as hygiene and safety are the first rules in our house.
Technique is the foundation of everything we do at Xtrem9. You cannot build speed or power if your basics are shaky. In this cluster, we break down every strike into its components—whether it is a jab, a cross, or a roundhouse kick—so you understand how to generate force from the ground up.
Why Pad Work Matters
Pad work is where you bridge the gap between hitting a heavy bag and fighting a real opponent. It improves your reaction time, accuracy, and defensive movement. Our coaches will make you practice the same combination until your body ghumaao poora (full body rotation) feels natural. You will learn to dodge, counter, and move your feet effectively.
Training for Everyone
We run group batches of 10-15 students in our ventilated, warehouse-style gyms. Whether you are a total beginner who has never made a fist or someone looking to sharpen their MMA striking, you get the same level of attention. We drill stance, footwork, and combinations in a safe, controlled environment.
Safety & Getting Started
We are not a commercial fitness center; we are a combat community. Training here requires discipline. You must have your own mouth guard, groin guard, and headgear if you progress to sparring. We keep the vibe chill but the training intense. If you are ready to put in the work and leave your ego at the door, you are one of us.
