Striking Fundamentals: Mastering Bag & Pad Work
Power is useless without control. We don't just hit the bag; we deconstruct every punch, kick, and movement until your technique becomes instinct.
This is an endurance essential. The shoulder touch drill sharpens reflexes and punching accuracy under pressure. You hear me in the background: "चल, आगे बढ़, आगे बढ़." (Go, move forward, move forward). We keep the pressure on to simulate fight fatigue.
Eyes on the prize. Here I am, back in the gym, working the heavy bag. A coach must lead by example. The work never stops, for me or for my fighters. We are always conquering the next challenge.
Conditioning is key for any striker. Boxing is a demanding sport, and our advanced sessions push your endurance to the limit. We build the strength to throw hard punches and the stamina to keep throwing them.
This is unwavering determination. This fighter is working his combinations on the heavy bag, focusing on technique and power. This is the daily work required to unlock your true potential as a striker.
Fall seven times, stand up eight. This is the philosophy we live by. Whether it's in a fight or on the heavy bag, you keep getting up and you keep fighting. I show my fighters how it's done through action.
Pain today, strength tomorrow. Kickboxing drills are a core part of our routine, building a complete striking arsenal. We start with the basics and drill them until they are perfect, building a foundation for advanced techniques.
About Striking Fundamentals: Bag & Pad Work
It isn’t about how hard you hit, it’s about where, when, and how you land. We drill simple combinations until they are reflexive, stripping away the hype so you are left with genuine striking ability and the conditioning to use it.
Striking isn't just about aggression; it's about precision under fatigue. In this cluster, you'll see the work that builds a fighter's arsenal. We start by slowing things down. You might be used to throwing haymakers, but we focus on the jab, the cross, and the movement that sets them up. If your footwork is heavy or your guard is dropping when you get tired, we will fix it.
Why Pads & Bags?
The heavy bag is your silent opponent. It doesn't move, but it shows every flaw in your form. We use it to drill consistency. If you can't throw 50 clean, hard shots without losing your composure, you aren't ready for the cage. The pads are different. That’s where we simulate a living, breathing opponent. We look for reaction times, counter-punching, and the ability to stay calm when the pace gets high.
The Training Environment
We train in Andheri East, and it gets hot. The mats are high-impact, and the sessions are designed to test your limits. You’ll hear us shouting commands like "चल, आगे बढ़" (Go, move forward) because we need to keep your brain engaged even when your body wants to quit. This is how we build fight IQ.
Whether you're prepping for your first amateur bout or just want to train like you are, the fundamentals remain the same. Discipline, repetition, and a refusal to cut corners. Come ready to sweat, leave your ego at the door, and do the work.
